Gay Horses

Post by Bothwell »

I must be the only person on the planet witha gay horse. Tosca has suffered Pastern and logament damage and he can't be ridden over fences any more, so to try and recoup some of his all to expensive costs it was suggested that I put him to stud. Unfortunately Tosca shows not the slightest interest in the opposite sex!!! i have now renamed him Elton and he will shortly be available in cans for your dog to eat, actually he is off to a riding for the disabled centre which should be a bit of a laugh because he is 17 hands and bloody strong.

Well yes and no, he is going for free!!!!

Some unkind friends of mine have suggested that my less than sylph-like figure may have contributed to his leg troubles, how dare they!!

That is funny a Gay horse. Maybe he is depressed? Does he have prostate cancer or something? It just doesn't sound right. Animals have feelings and emotions too, have him checked out before sending to the meat farm. We have had bulls so fat, they continued to try? :lips:

My Aunt also has a gay horse. His name is Jack, so maybe this is not that unusual. :p

He is absolutely stunning!! Did you have him gelded already? I'm

surprised a vet didn't suggest that there are other things to try... different

mares, for example, different time of year... (mid-spring WARM) or in some

cases pasture breeding (some stallions don't like an audience!) works when

other types don't. Did you consider if he has pastern damage, he might feel

too much pain in rear legs to mount a mare? In that case, a pain management

program might help!!

If you have donated him to the school and it is a charity, perhaps you can

get a write-off on taxes?

Horse Levitra! He needs help in pill form? Cows can be gay also, they try to mount eachother? They also hang out as close buddies? Oh well you know what they say, as long as they LOVE eachother, its okay. :(

Well he is one beautiful horse, gay or otherwise..!! ;) I hope he is happy in his new home.. I'm thinkin he may be a bit tall for kids. I know I was afraid of horses when I was young..!! Hopefully he has a gentle nature..

I will try to answer the questions.

The people who know about these things have told me that the temterature thing could be a factor although they do have indoor "Meeting" areas that are heated !!!!

Actually the pastern damage may be a factor but the vet reckons it's not enough as he had tested him in the "Lifter" to see that he could support his own weight on his back legs, so he's gay !!

Anmonymiss - a very romantic scenario I must say although having ones horse's "Gayness" put in prose is rather shocking, I like to feel he may not actually be gay just shy.

Carla - The Riding for the disabled centre takes all ages from 6-60 and they are always short of decent size horses so I guess he will prove useful.

Valerie - No I don't get a tax write off, if I just gave money to the charity I could write off 25% but as Tosca is not a monetary (tell my bank manager) donation I can't claim anything. However the lady at the charity does have a contact who has a nice hunter mare (Ginny) apparently that I may be able to do a deal on, I am going to have a look at her this weekend.
