to which I saw and answered bold

a story that I never told

of hummingbirds and busy bees

making music in the trees

up I go and down it comes

to the beating of the tribal drums

a thought like rain that falls abound

to flood and seep into the ground

a serpent and a dove combine

confuse my words obscure my mind

and light restores a simple phrase

my critics then my words will praise

the circle winds and then returns

although I laugh I have concerns

as up I go and down it comes

will someone please shut up those drums?
