Maybe I need to put ShapeShifter under my av, cars! OOOps Jives - I should have said 'trash' - shouldn't I, in good American !!! GRIN... Instead of 'rubbish', with my poshest Strine accent. Of course the thought of something both Jiveish and love-ish makes me all weak at the knees, even though I know it's on the rebound from some other gorgeous gal who had the misfortune to become hirsute in unusual ways. Gotta run, but you've got me poetic juices flowing... and I shalllllllll returrrrrrnnnnn tlw

Some frustration was mounting with JAB
It was the idea she couldn't quite nab.
But Jives said, "buck up!"
"I'll wish you good luck!"
So she sat down and gave it a stab!:D

AussiePam, you're a lady with will,
Your limericks give me a thrill
I don't mean to pout,
but I'll have to bow out,
and defer to your creative skill!:D

Now, now Jives. I've read some of your stories!!! To tell the truth, I was completely bowled over when people started answering my little limericks with awesome witty limerick responses! We all got sparky. And that's pretty special. But we don't want it all to get stale, so maybe we should return to our usual little tlw soundgrabs.... bursting into poetic rainbows only when the Muse really bites our bums. Take care!!!
PS Personally I don't give a ^%$# who has the last word. This just seems to be a merry and lively little thread where some great people come.... tlw

ROFL. Hahahaa..I agree it was an inspired little exchange. Thanks to the fact that it didn't have any profanity I may be able to use it to teach the students, since it is one of the things we are studying.
Back to basics it is then, but with a newfound respect for each other's rapier wit, eh?;)
En guard!

Jives - Again ooops. Did I forget to get limerically profane!!!??? I'll lose my aussie union card at this rate. Grin. I believe that our tourism ad has now fallen foul of America's 2million strong family values group. The word 'bloody' in the ad is now considered not to be profane but rather to conjure up red stuff streaming from wounded humans (or possibly hunted animals) implying VIOLENCE. Ya gotta the endless possibilities of creative interpretation.
Which brings me to Clipper... my murky blonde brain immediately offered words like chipper, champagne from my slipper and a few sailing gags- but I'm only saying this to distract you blokes while I sharpen up my fencing sword and strap on me face mask...

I'm fine Koochikoo - my daughter is with me for two more days, then returns to London where she works in MTV. This is her first trip back to Australia!! She says she had almost forgotten how clear and blue the sky can be, not to mention what the sulphur crested cockatoos sound like first thing in the morning. I'm gonna hit the hay shortly - so leave tlw in your very capable hands!!! G'night.
