Hi, I'm verte76, from Birmingham, Alabama. I'm an artist, and I'm getting ready to go to Turkey. I like to watch and discuss figure skating.

Yes, it does. I want to study Turkish art. Turkish art, like other Islamic art, is mostly abstract because they don't believe in reproducing images. My art is also mostly abstract, mainly because I'm not worth a purple tuppence as a figure drawer, so I have to rely on abstract curvilinear designs. This works. I've sold pix to various and sundry people including some corporate execs and the local Children's Hospital. I've had some amazing experiences from being an artist.
