Pope John Paul ll is hospitalized

Post by lady cop »

the Pope is in hospital, and crowds are gathered at the Vatican. he certainly has appeared extremely frail recently. he is 84 years old and suffers parkinsons. he has the flu which is serious at his age and with his medical history. few details avaliable, but he may have respiratory infection, i.e., pneumonia. he has been Pope for 27 years.

Hope he has a few more years in him because he has done very little but good for his believers. Been a good role model and hospitable host for trying to engage the religions in the concept of unity. Hope he's OK. If not... He's probably going to end up in the right place. Right where he belongs.

Dont have religion myself but he's always seemed to be a good gentle person to me and even in all his splendour looks very humble.

Gentle !!! i dont think so, this is a man that rails against condom use and homosexuality, the leader of 700 million (at the last count) people across the world, a leader who has condoned the hiding of peadophile priests within the system.

Oh I know beating up on a frail 85 year old is not particularly edifying but the catholic church has a lot to answer for and however frail he is their leader, I will specul;ate here that he may already have snuffed it and the spooky cardinals are getting their ducks in a row for the announcement (and I know where Jimmy Hoffa is !!)
