OK, y'all know that the wedding is supposed to take place at the beautiful clubhouse of an affiliated club, about 40 minutes from where we live and halfway between us and the rest of my family.

Well. With the new club that Bullet has joined, they have property in Lake George that could be perfect. A full kitchen, lofts to sleep about 20 people, huge acerage for people to bring their RV's and what-not and camp if they want to. Beautifully scenic, all woods and a gorgeous pond.

To use this place will cost us exactly nothing. The thing is, it's over 2 hours away. No invitations have been sent out yet, so what do you all think? Am I crazy for considering changing the location at this time?

It depends on the stress levels involved, BR. If it isn't stressful to change the venue at this stage then it would make sense to go for it.

Theia, it wouldn't stress me out in the slightest, or Bullet. I'm concerned mostly about my mother, who is one of those, panick-at-the-drop-of-a-hat, "holy crap nothing about this will ever work, everything is going to go wrong" type of people. I'd call her and talk to her about it right away, except she's in Florida and I can't just call her up. I have to wait for her to call me.

I'm SO leaning towards using the club property up north, it sounds like a better way to go all around, aside from the money.

I really need to kick this around my head a bit more. I'm sure input here will help me decide, too. I know others will be along with their ideas, thank God.

I was "projecting" a bit there, BR because I'm a person who can easily get stressed at unexpected changes or even just changes to the status quo! I can see your point about your mother...does it help if she knows you're coping with whatever change it is in an unstressful way? I know with my mother that if I sound confident and sure of what I'm doing, her stress levels seem to lessen a bit. Ultimately it has to be what you and Bullet really want and it sounds as if you really like the idea of the new venue.

If your mother is your only drawback in changing this, you could easily make whatever decisions you want. All you need to do is make sure Mom does not have to figure out how she is going to get there, and back home again, and where she is going to stay. I'm sure you have a relative or friend who could pick her up and get her to the wedding on time.......... Eliminate all likely concerns of hers and you should be free to do as you and Bullet choose.

Will Bullet have a new tag by the wedding????? :D

Do what you want BR, it's "your" special day! (Bullet will go with whatever you choose) So go for it!!! It sounds like it may be better for all involved anyway, as many people "vacation" at LG, cause it's so beautiful there. So your guests will be getting a two-fer, wedding, & vacation spot all rolled into one! Best wishes & Best of luck in whatever you choose to do! ;) :)

Weeder, Bullet and I eloped on December 1st, but we are still having a "wedding" for the family and the brothers. As far as they know, it's the real deal.

Thanks for all the input guys. I do believe we are going to go with the new venue. 90% there now.

Because, as I said, twice now, it's MY story to tell, NOT YOURS. What part of that is difficult to understand? You don't even know the whole story, and what's more, I wouldn't want the spin YOU would put on it anyway. Why can't you just stick your nose elsewhere? Why is it always me?

I was looking for your Ask BabyRider thread and didn't find but the closed one --- so here goes my question:

How have you been able to keep the marriage a secret from family and the brothers? I can't imagine keeping even an engagement secret. No one knows? Not even your sister??? :)

Being in the new club, it's simple to keep the secret. But yes, my sister does know, and is sworn to secrecy. Actually it hasn't really been all that difficult. No one has come out and asked, "Are you guys really married already?" and when we talk about the plans and say "the wedding" people assume it will be the real thing. My son knows too, I don't keep anything from him. But, he'll keep his mouth shut, too.

Can't you read? I said "would" put on it. Geezus, I even have to explain my explanations to you. And by "didn't put no" do you mean you actually did? That is a double negative, you know.

Why can't you just get the hell away from me, as I have asked you many, many times in the past? If anyone is stalking anyone it would be you, you freakin' psycho.
