Going to Blow Away

Post by Sheryl »

The wind here has been blowing horribly for the last couple of days. Looks like today will be more of the same. Steady winds of 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60mph.

How is it where you are at?

Okay, okay, okay...just remember I'm not as fast as I was...that's why it's a spell and not a dance

...and it takes time to get the cauldron heated and the toads collected...I'll be busy all afternoon now and probably miss the rugby...actually that might not be such a bad thing...16-6 to France. Huh!

It seems like it's always crazy windy in San Antonio!

This morning it's been pretty calm so far though, which is good cuz hubby took the kids to the park and they're bringing back Whataburger for lunch! yum! :)

How did you know why I watch it?

Lol! Whats a "whataburger"? I know McDonalds, Burger king, Wendy's & KFC - is it the same thing?

The weather here is grey and overcast, but at least its clear. It's done nothing but rain, pour and hailstone all week. Grrr. Interspersed with the odd snow flurry.

The neighbours who live opposite me belong to the Hampshire Motorcycle Club. Every Sunday they gather outside their house, revving their engines. I'm dying to be invited over, but haven't managed it yet. They have a pile of amazing Harleys outside and this fantastic HUGE American car from the 50s. I thought that it was a Transam (but I know nothing about cars!) Hubby says its like a huge Console/Consul. They also have this huge and amazing Quad bike. I used to date a biker and would love to go for a ride on one of their bikes! *sigh*

Well San Diego just experienced a true winter storm. We had rain, hail, snow and winds up to 45mph and what it thought to have been a toronado... All in a 48 hour period from Friday to this Morning now the sun is out and its beautiful once again..:-6

Well if I don't blow away, I might burn up. Have grass fires burning all around us. The highway is blocked off north of town, due to fires. :(

The weather's not too bad In northern PA for this time of year. Woke up to light rain, then it stopped. Has been overcast all day long and temps reached 58º. On the damp side but fairly nice. :)

Wasn't that something on the news today about the tornado that ripped through southern Missouri? :(

I've had it easy then. It's been cold, but nothing more than that. The occasional peep of sunshine.

Wind is still blowing and fires are raging. Two towns in the panhandle have been evacuated due to the fires.
