OK--that didn't sound quite right. I didn't actually "do something" with a bird, I meant I would work out a name involving a bird.....or....ugh!! oh forget it!!

Easy...right now I weigh 30lbs more than I would like too so I am a ''Before''. When I lose it, if I ever do, I'll be an ''after''...just kidding...everything I liked was taken.

I once was NewRunner, because I decided to run, but never got fast enough, although I did walk 14 miles (1/2 marathon) several times. Changed it to my current name: OutsideLookinIn because that's how I feel about myself...I never feel totally connected, always analyzing everything, feel as if life is going by and I'm observing it but not really participating to the extent that I want to. Don't ask why...it's not really by choice, just fate.
I was NursiPoo for a while also, 'cause I'm a nurse, and it's colonoscopies I do mostly!
Now you know why I change my name...I say stuff and embarrass myself!

Good point Snoozie:-6
I had my first colonoscopy at the age of 40. My mom had colon cancer about 6 years ago (she beat it (YEAH!) but has since passed away from a heart attack). It was *so* not a big deal.
The anesthesia, however, was pretty good;)

You know, before I saw this post, I wondered if there wasn't some Alanis meaning behind your name. Very cool, she's one of my favorites.

it does seem to have stuck. And when shortened (as it is frequently) it becomes one of the oldest meditative sounds. Not quite the statement yours is though. A constant reminder to take personal responsibility - a vital trait if we want to enjoy freedom.
