I thought it might be fun to do a little mini quiz to get to know something about each other- and even for long time posters to maybe learn something new...:)

Funniest childhood story (or two): The day I graduated from elem. school the entire 6th grade went swimming and then went to a park to have a picnic and play games. Being a little girl I simply stuffed my underwear inside my jeans in between my legs- not bothering to take my swimming suit off and put it back on. I played relay games for about an hour- unbeknownst to me my underwear fell out of my jeans. We lined up to go inside after lunch and our teacher found a pair of little girl's underwear laying in the middle of the lawn. I thought "maybe I could just say no." But one of my friends spilled the beans and I was a mortified sixth grade graduate! :(

When I was 8 I cut my hair with scrapbooking scissors- luckily I originally had hair past my shoulders and only cut it a little above... my mom was able to trim it so it went just underneath my chin and had a playful flip...but as usual my teriffic mom found humor in my little escapades and so when she came in the bathroom and caught me snipping away she just gathered me up in her arms and said "Oh my baby, I love you." :-4

Oh and on movies- how could I forget the film version of "Where The Heart Is" and on TV Shows of course 24! I didn't put Passions because I don't consider soaps to fall into the TV shows category :)

Funniest childhood story (or two):

when I was ten, my father let me take a city-slicker friend of mine fishing. Even after teaching him not to cast when someone was passing behind him, the sucker managed to hook me on the top lip with a hook. Then, thinking he was caught on a tree, he pulled with all his might. I was unable to tell him to stop, since my lip was four inches from my face.

My father had to push the barb through to cut it off and remove the hook. The worst part? A big worm was wiggling on my tongue that whole time.

Funniest childhood story (or two): Was standing at my little chalk board in our basement I likely was trying to play school with my brother and he was fed up with my bossiness and I had my back to him writing on the board and he called me and I turned around and he shot me between the eyes with a toy wooden arrow (yep point went right into my forehead) lucky shot as he missed my eyes looking back that is a hoot. Other story, we owned a cute little hampster and one day my bro picked it up and likely squeezed it, the hammy bit him in the finger and drew blood.... next day sadly hammy was found dead. Sad at the time but we still laugh about it now.... sic huh ahahahahaha You asked.

That's nice! My mum thinks I'm satan's spawn and seems to loathe the ground I walk on. She never says anything nice or kind and never praises, but is just overly critical all the time. (At least, when she speaks to me, but she hasn't spoken to me for a year now, which to be honest has made life more peaceful and I don't feel as negative about myself as I used to! So you see, every cloud has a silver lining! ;) )

However, I make sure I'm as lovely to my kids as your mum is to you and I love to read all the lovely things you say about her. Keep sharing hun. :-6

Minks! I absolutely LOVE Diana Gabaldons books and have also read the entire series! Don't you just ADORE Jamie Fraser?

If you like these books you should try the novels of Barbara Erskine. I'm not so keen on her short stories but her novels are incredible! My all time favouite is "Whispers in the Sand" which I'd highly recommend! Happy reading!

Oooooo yay another fan. I got to meet Mz Gabaldon at a book signing here, she is so wonderfully down to earth yet elegant. I loved her. I have her entire collection in hard cover, I don't read those, I have crappy paper backs that have been all over the city as family and friends have read them. Good series indeed. I entered a contest once it was "write a couple paragraphs about what fictional male you would like to see come to life" and you guessed it I picked Jamie Faser hehehehehehehehe Yep he is something else hehehehe

Funniest childhood story (or two):
My parents having a Halloween party for us kids. We were all in the basement. My father, dressed as a mummy would unexpectedly shut off the light at the top of the stairs... come down with a flash light on his mask "to get us" You never heard so much squealing, laughing and screaming . We never knew when he was coming. And I never before had seen my dad act so carefree and foolishly.
