I remember that Miller High Life used to come in pony bottles, about 8 ounces as I recall. Great for a quick cold one between classes. :D

Franziskaner!

I like Guiness too. Otherwise, not really picky about beer, I'm not.

In my youth I tried every single beer known to mankind...nowadays it all kind of tastes the same to me.

I mostly drink Bud light, (even though I'm right next to the Coors brewery) but I have a real penchant for "Tequiza" which is Budweiser's attempt to compete with Corona and Lime.

It's cheap and tasty! The lime flavor goes great with the New Mexican food we eat here.:D

Choosing a favorite beer is tough. So many choices. Also depends where you live, although in this day of efficient commerce, selections across the country are more varied than they were even 10 years ago. Europeans have access to many brands that simply don't make it across the ocean to the U.S. Many of the beers I enjoyed while stationed in West Germany during the '80s are not to be found easily. Some brands just don't move well. While stationed in southeast Asia, I enjoyed San Miguel beer. I got to Europe, found the same brand, but made in Spain, and it was horrible. Or perhaps I just had a bad memory. Presenty in my cooler you'll find Molson's Golden, or Killians Red. More often the Molson's however. Killians is a bit heavy.

I always choose bitter beer pulled by a hand pump. This is what we in Britain call real ale. Two of my favourites are London Pride and Bombadier.

I really don't get on with the Charlie Wells but the Pride's a good pint.

I guess your choice puts you around St Albans - betwixt Wandsworth and Bedford?

I live in East Yorkshire, but the reason I have been able to taste such good southern beers is because some of our pubs, up here, have guest beers. Some of these can be different from week to week and so that makes it difficult to remember some of the names of them. There must be thousands of different beers and many of those may stop being produced as new ones take their place.

I am with you on this list. Westvleteren Abt 12 is arguably the best beer ever brewed.

I take exception only with Stella.

That is the nastiest tasting beer I have ever tasted, I think.

It tastes like skunk ****.

There are a couple of nice breweries near my new home.

One is O'Dells Brewery.

They make a nice ale called 90 shilling.
