What do you know? A little time out is exactly what I needed! I feel great now, and I'm coming back. How can I stay away after the literally dozens of well-wishes, PM's, and ....e-mails?!! How did they get my e-mail address?!! I can't get away from you people!! AAAAaaaaaa!

Seriously, though, before I left I said I wanted to apologize for being so obtuse to other's feelings. I'm afraid I've never been very good at recognizing when I have crossed social lines.

I'm still going to be as passionate as ever about the things I believe in, I know some of you think that's just arrogance, and I can see why you'd think that. But trust me, when I get carried away, I'm not trying to be a boor, I really DO believe in what I'm saying. Oh, and please don't think that I staged all of this as a "poor me" stunt. I'm petty, but not that petty. I honestly intended to walk away forever. I figured it was better for everyone that way.

I'd also like to say that everything I posted here is the truth, one of the things that hurt me most was that some of my pics and stories were called into question as outright lies.

Sorry, guys. I don't lie anymore. When I was young, I was given to flights of imagination, but these days I only tell the truth. I'm too old to lie. I reserve my imagination for my sci fi stories these days.

To all those that I may offend in the future, I am sorry, I'll try much harder to see everyone else's point of view and be a better person.

And to Clancy, I've got a digital camera, but unfortunately it only takes 3.2 megapixel pictures and I haven't figured out how to downsize them to make them postable in this forum. Can you tell me how to do that? If so, I can get you a picture of my guitar. It is the same model as the one I posted, but it has a "Gin Blossoms" sticker and black stripes.

To everyone....Thanks so much for the outpouring of support and I must say that between Far's threats and GMC's shaming, I never had a chance of leaving you! ROFL! It's great to be back!

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa you are back. I"m soooo glad. I love your stories and your posts. It's ok to stick by your convictions, that's what makes you a great person in my opinin.

download picassa from google. It's free and great for downsizing and editing your pictures.

I'd imagine a workable solution could be agreed on. I don't lie either.

I'm sure that by allowing others the space to breathe a bit, without condemning them out of hand will be a big factor on your return.

BTW, I don't have a "gang" or anything approaching it, and you yourself made the decision to walk away, and leave.

Here is a link to a very easy program to use that has a resizing option that is easy. I use this program to resize all my pictures, it can go as small as thumbnails.

Thanks Carla! I'm taking it home because we have iMacs at school, but that should solve my problems. Did you download the plug-ins? Or is that not neccessary?

Quite the experience, isn't it? Someone once asked me what it was like. I told them "Take the scariest roller coaster you've ever ridden, multiply that by a factor of three, then ride it three times a day for two hours at a time.

See how you feel in the evening!

One thing that most people don't know is that if you fly at altitude, the 100% pure O2 gets into the inner ear. The tissues of the inner ear love that stuff and soak it up, creating a low pressure inside the ear. Then at about 2:00 in the morning, your ear will pop like a firecracker...hurts a lot.

Since I was an instructor pilot, we had to fly three missions a day, 6 days a week! What's worse is that you have to fly with people that are just learning, if they make a mistake, you can die in a microsecond!

We used to call it "800 mph driver's ed!"

That reminds me, I need to write the story of the Iraqi student that tried to kill me in a spin, then punched himself out of the cockpit...while the plane was parked!!:D

When I was on the USS America (bless her steel bones).. I was gonna backseat in a Tomcat.. but the airboss found out an niixed it.. sigh.. but.. I did land and launch off carriers several times.. very cool experiences... also did some chopper winches.. hehehee.. gotta make sure that they ground ya... dance dance dance... hahahahahahaha

Aww hell Clips.. you think that looked small.. try landing in a helo on the fantail pad on a destroyer... wooohooooooo.. looks like lil piece of styrofoam floating in a big old bathtub with a kid playing in it.. a truely wonderful experience...
