i work for a large insurance company based in Iowa. They have offices on every continent. Globally they employ 300,000.

here at the Home office, they have set aside a sizable amount of money to renovate 2200 sq.ft. of office and meeting rooms to put in a Mosque for the muslim employees.

Great. i'm glad they have a place to go when they make their prayers. quite a few employees give the Muslims odd looks when the (essentially) confiscate the East side of the Cafe.

i learned earlier today that the company has no plans to put in a Chapel for Christians or a Synagogue for Jews.

I find that outrageous. this news will go company wide tomorrow morning in a mass e-mail. i learned it by being in the right place at the right time.

am i out of line for thinking that the Muslims are getting special treatment?

i don't think that the company is inviting all of Israel and Palestine over to use it.

If this is strictly for Muslim worship, I'd be HIGHLY p!ssed. We need to stop cow-towing to these people NOW. We bend over backwards to accomodate them and their ways in OUR country and it's becoming, IMNSFHO, ridiculous.

all right. i did some snooping around(i'm on my way out anyhow) and it is going to be a Muslim prayer center only.
