Rooibos

Post by Blackjack »

I used to be a strictly coffee person. It was the stuff of life as far as I was concered. But about a year ago I started messing around with herbal tea and I've gradually been drinking tea more and more often instead of coffee ever since. Green tea and black tea were to follow but I was particularly reluctant to have anything to do with rooibos since it was the next big thing and it makes me feel dirty to have anything to do with trends. But, it was on sale last week and I thought why not give it a try, what harm could it do? I actually like it a lot. I don't believe it's some kind of magical cure-all like it's made out to be sometimes but I have to admit it's pretty good tea. Anyone else like it?

They don't seem to have different flavors of rooibos here yet. Doesn't bother me, though, I'm enjoying the "default" version well enough.

Hippies don't drink rooibos, Lady. They drink Snapple. :p

And if it makes you feel any better I have a cup of coffee here with me as I type this now. Albeit with cream in it...

Flavored teas? It just keeps getting worse and worse. I'm going to have to fly out there and make a proper tea snob of you.
