Rare whisky cooked in haggis by publicity-seeking waster. Very expensive. Does not sound at all like proper haggis, it's got steak in it. Avoid.

Burns night is when a lot of Jocks get together to commemorate an obscure poet by the name of Robert Burns, who died a long time ago. He wrote an "Address to the Haggis", which thing you know about. A lot of extra bits and pieces have been bolted on to what was originally, AFAIR, a party held by a few friends of the poet in his memory after he pegged out, but it's still basically an excuse to dress up, get pissed, and pig out. See Wm. McGonagle, another inspiring Scotch poet. Oh, BTW, Mr. Burns also wrote some verse called... oh, what was it? Ah! Auld Lang Syne. Strangely, this is a drinking song, too!

A pint of Grouse? That's just over 24 single "shots" of whisky (pre-metric measures). He will know he's drunk it!

Ah, Guiness is not Scotch. There are quite a few black beers from Scotland, however, several of which are suitable for drinking (or wood preservative).

Jealousy leaking from every pore.

You can also add disapproved of by the establishment for his libertine ways and egalitarian politics and now feted by the very pretentious tossers he was most disparaging of which amuses me no end

Often wonder what he would think of the parcel of rogues we have in the nation now. It's amazing how little some things change.
