How important is Valentines Day in your country?

Are you buying someone a Valentines day gift? What?

Valentines day is huge over here. You buy you're loved one, partner, husband, wife etc a card and maybe flowers or chocolates.

I haven't decided what to buy my hubby yet.

I hope to get some chocolate though :-4

We certainly celebrate Valentine's Day here in the US. My husband usually sends me flowers and a card, and we go out to dinner. I usually get him something silly that makes him smile. For the family, I get candy heart boxes for my grandchildren, and I usually send out Valentine Cards to close family members. I know here at school, children usually make a valentine box for all the valentines they receive from their classmates.

Wow sounds like it's even bigger over there than here.

I saw edible undies today and thought they would be funny :)

Anniversaries I understand, too. We celebrated 35 years this past July. Sometimes it seems like yesterday, other times it seems forever! Valentine's Day has been bigger for me since our kids grew up and flew the nest. After our youngest went, we began our "Honeymoon" period all over again. Same for you?

My husband used to always send me long stemmed roses to school on Valentine's Day. The girls always twittered over it, the boys would sit and sulk. It was so much fun!

I am thinking of something nice to get him for Valentine's Day, but don't know what it will be yet.

MOTTO TO LIVE BY:

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming.
