I want a baby! Umm...kinda.

I think I'm ready but then I don't know...and I get scared and freaked and then there are moments when i'm not sure if I WILL EVER KNOW! How did you know when you were ready to have a family? Did you plan?

I knew how you feel. I wanted a baby but was unsure if I really wanted to give up my freedom or be responsible for another person. Have you talked with partner about having a child?

I now have 2 children. Zakk is 5 and Ayden is 2. I don't know what the heck I did will all my free time before, but it's worth it.

You can borrow my 2 and 4 year olds for a couple of days!:D

I always wanted kids, since I was like 3 or 4, so when I got married I had bad baby fever! I couldn't not have them. And there's never really a perfect time to have them, they just become another part of your family and you can't imagine them not being there!

It is hard, the 24/7 resposibility, the loss of freedom, never sleeping again...LOL!

But then there's all those little moments like when you pick up your baby and they wrap their little pudgy sticky arms around you, it makes it all worth it!:-4

Ooooo wow big choice ahead of you girl.

My first was an oops my second was not. No regrets what so ever but am happy to say I don't have to go through it again... no not just labor but all the kid stages.

They are for life, they do require constant care and attention and you can't give em back no matter what they bring along with them, cholic, terrible 2's, teeth, school, acne, heartache, teens, adulthood etc. You are in it for life hunny. If your man is on the same page and is wanting kids... go for it. I say if you strongly feel you don't want kids then do not. But if the desire is there yes by all means. There never is a right time and if you put off repeatedly you run the risk of never having kids.

kids. I've known for a certainty since I was about 18 years old. Thought

I might not a few years before that, but really really sure since then.

I like little kids, they've always liked me, but I like what a friend used to

call "library" kids... you know, you borrow them and then when you're

done you take 'em back!!

I'm not saying that course is for everyone, or even a majority, but that's

what I feel.

wow....wow! what intelligent, sincere posts. thank you for your thoughts. now i'm more confused.

kidding! i'm taking it all in...soooo scary though. and then i think...am i too selfish for this? i like my "me time"...that is gone....right?

i have 60 kids right now too...kids all day and then kids at home...is that too much to deal with? :-5

floppy, you have such a way with words!!! anybody ever tell you that?

My best advice? When in doubt do nothing. You can always have kids later, you're young. No one is ever truly prepared for parenthood no matter what. Until you know better what you want, do nothing. And no, wanting your "me" time is not selfish at all. Even when you DO have kids, you will need your "me" time. You just won't get it whenever you want it. :-6

Im the same as Valerie, i know without a doubt that i definately dont want any children, ive never ever felt maternal. Im 31 now and i think its unlikely i will ever change my mind. My partner feels exactly the same so i guess im quite lucky that there's no pressure to cahnge my mind!

WOW hot, where you bin? Have not seen you on here for quite some time. And like always, what a provocative question!!! Kids change one's lives forever! Once you have them, you can't give them back, but I have never met anyone yet who has had kids and then said they were sorry they had them. Like LC said, kids give you joy & grief, but it's all worth it in the end. That's life! But like BR said, do nothing until you & your husband are both 100% sure that you want your lives changed for ever!

Hotsauce, if you don't know yet if you want a baby or not, think about it again before you decide. As for me, 3 out of 4 were unplanned pregnancies-4 out of 4 were absolute blessings.

They all turned out to be very good kids.
