I've heard of farm subsidies...
Well, MANY years ago, a government official would contact the hog
farmer and ask him how many he was planning to raise that year...
"200" okay, then tell him to only raise 150 and pay him for the other 50.
Seems really back asswards to me.

I've heard of farm subsidies...
I will refrain from my small farmer rant. But times are getting rough for all small family farms in all parts of the country. We are going out of our farming this year it looks like. I do not know the costs of peach farming. But the amount may be so high to help the farmers to be able to remove the trees and keep the ground viable for other crops.
