parents with learning difficulties

Post by sheryl_b »

A couple regarded as too intellectually slow to be parents must give up their two children for adoption, a high court judge as ruled. Mrs Justice Pauffley said they could not keep their four year old daughter and 14-month-old son even though they have never harmed or neglected them

The children were taken from the family home last year, even though the social workers admitted they were loved, clean, well dressed and fed

I've just watch'd the video after reading this article and find this is totally wrong............ How can anyone say how a child will be bought up wrong if either parent has learning difficulties............ and the goverment want to allow gay couples to adopt???? WHAT is their PLAN take all children who's parens have learning difficulties and hand them over to the gays???????

Hmmm. loved, clean, fed, and well dressed? What the devil else is there? I guess Forest Gump is going to lose his kid too.

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

And here I have kids in my school that have intelligent parents who neglect them, do not feed them, do not clean them, and smoke methamphetimine in front of them.

Stories like this just tend to really **** me off.

The mother as an IQ of 60. She can read and write although as difficulty in understanding ideas. The father has been assessed as having no learning difficulty. He has worked for the same firm for 22 years.
The mother AS an IQ of 60? Shouldn't that be has? "Write although AS difficulty"? Should that be HAS? This reporter may be next! What a lousy father! How could he work the same place over twenty years? I hope these social workers don't work another 20 seconds.:-5

This is what happens when people rely on stereotypes more than facts.

Well people do screw up, its a sad but known fact...

I cant see why these children from the information that has been given out should be taken from their parents...

But to play devils advocate, what have we not been told. Though l find it hard considering the medical opinion etc that there could be anything.

Unless of course it is not for public record or an ongoing investigation..
take a bite out of life it's there to be tasted!!
