Are Towels obsolete in the UK?

Post by cars »

Just saw an ad on TV that said Water Parks in the UK are doing away with the need for conventional Towels. It was said 25 of the Water Parks in the UK now have Human Body size Dryer cabinets. These cabinets have heat lamps, and hot air blowers in them, to raise the inside temperature to 104f degrees.

Interesting: But can you really leave the Towels behind, or do these cabinets really work that good that Towels are not needed any longer?

I have never heard of a "Water Park", it sounds like a canal or a municipal boating lake.

Towels? Everyone uses towels. They're best kept warm on a radiator or towel-rail, except during Summer. Pity they're so small and non-absorbent these days.

Face flannels seem to have disappeared. They are now called "face cloths" and come with a big scratchy label sewn on saying how they should be cleaned.

It's a recreational facility with pools, diving, slides & in some parks, a wave making machine.
