Laci's Mom releases book

Laci Peterson's mother has written a book which will be released this weekend. she's the only person IMO whose sole purpose in writing a book isn't to profit from Laci's death.--------------------------- MODESTO, Calif. The mother of Laci Peterson has a book about her slain daughter due out this weekend.

"For Laci" by Sharon Rocha is to be released Saturday from Random House.

Scott Peterson was convicted last year of killing his wife and their unborn son. He is on death row in San Quentin.

Rocha plans to use proceeds from the book to start a fund for search and rescue in memory of Laci and her Rocha's unborn grandson.

Several players from the high-profile trial have written books, including one of Scott Peterson's former lawyers and his mistress.

not sure on the number of books. none of them contain anything previously unknown. anyway, scottie has hired two appellate lawyers to try to overturn verdict. geragos is not one of them , aside from fact he's not an appellate lawyer, they are more than likely going to try to prove ineffective assistance of counsel (geragos) during trial. and i saw that coming when geragos told the jury he was unprepared for closings.

the whole system is a game. i am so disgusted with my state attorney's office right now i could chew nails. first we have a female who beat her grandmother to death with a hammer, they were seeking death. so what do they do? take a plea for 20 years, and she won't even serve all that. and we had ALL THE FREAKING EVIDENCE IN THE WORLD TO CONVICT! plus the female confessed to me! then last week, we have a female who murdered her twin sons. we've had her in our jail for 5 years, DA seeking death, all the evidence is there. so trial starts next week, finally, and DA takes death penalty off the table!! let me tell you there are some damned unhappy detectives around the office. i have never seen such a weak DA office, it makes me sick. just sick.

This might be good therapy for Laci's mom too, and at least she is using the money for something constructive...what did the others do? Amber said the money was because her and her daughter's privacy was compromised. Is the money she gets going to get her privacy back? Is she spending it on body guards and security systems? I bet not.

court TV has permission to tape the trial. and i am supposed to be subpeonaed. no freaking way will i accept service.

Hi Guys! I bought Sharon Rocha's book on Thursday and finished it this afternoon. I suggest everyone reads it. It is so wonderful. It was really nice to hear about Laci, the kind of person she was, her thoughts, her dreams, etc. It was really awesome to put a personality with that famous beaming smile. It also tells you alot more about Scott that the media didnt necessarily talk about because it was considered boring.

I just want to wrap my around that entire family. This was so sad. By the way, I dont care who you are, you CANNOT get through this book without crying. The only thing that is not in the book is the condition Conner's body was found. Everything else is great.
