anyone feel like me? glad it's over? just want to get on with it? i have my reasons to be glad it's over, it's been brutal as hell. anybody else endure and hate the whole thing? i once loved the holidays, now i cannot take it. my only joy is knowing 2006 will be better. i've been promised that. it's like charlie brown who said valentines day was just to point out his loneliness. this christmas was just to remind me i'm not with my love.:-1 all of you who are with the person you love, be grateful and happy. i would give everything i own to be with him.

You're right LC, to be with the one you love especially on special occasions is a Joy.
Hope all works out for you this year, it's the start of the best to come for you!:)

This is a Thomas Kinkade painting LC.
It's rumored to carry a miracle because the water is running.
I'm passing it onto you LC,
Because I thought it was pretty and who couldn't use a miracle?
Blessings to you in this New Year!
May your wishes come true!

Lady Cop! Oh yeah! Didn't even have a tree this year! I realized today that I hadn't even put a 'holiday' tablecloth on the table! We were gone for three days, but if I'd really been into it I'd have done something! Too commercial, too phony, too lost in the modern times...Give me the Muppets Christmas Carol movie, or Elf, leave me alone. I did not even stroll through a mall this season...Maybe next year the grinch will have left me..

it's all relative L.C I'd love either Christmas day or New Years Eve on my own. I love my family but sometimes there are just too many of them and too many obligations.

I am thrilled the holidays are over. While I absolutely love spending Thanksgiving and Christmas with my family, it's all just too much work. I put up a tree, hubby put lights outside, but we skipped decorating the inside. I didn't make cookies this year either. We are better off financially than we've ever been, yet I still found it very stressful and very tiring.

*big hug for LC*
One day you will be with Bothwell, and be complete dear LC. You hang on until then and get your health back into shape, and everything else will eventually fall into place.

As for all of you people out there that are sooooo glad the holidays are over just give a little thought for me this weekend. I have it all to go through again Friday is the Bank holiday and Sunday is the Spanish Christmas (The Three Kings) which means a whole weekend of celebrating again, Its a bigger thing than our Christmas was with street parties and parades, eating and drinking to much again and more hangovers. New Year was the same we celebrated at midnight and then again at 1am. for the English New Year which meant two lots of slobbery wet kisses some with tongues forcing their way in your mouth (Yuk) from lots of men most over eighty. Thank God that bit is over.

I'm joking {not about the minty breath} ....I sympathise that you have to go through that 'orrible ritual again
Thanks for the sympathy I need it.
You never know if there is one nice looking 25 year old spaniard in among all those old men then I might use my tongue then it will all be worth it.:wah:

Yep, me too. It seems the older everyone gets the harder it is to get our schedules together and figure out what everyone wants. I don't decorate for the holidays since we got 'the boys' because they will eat or play with anything that doesn't move. The only thing that makes me happy is the Christmas music. I love that part.
This was the first year in four years I haven't had to work Christmas or Thanksgiving but here I sit on the New Years holiday. Everyone has sobered up and are ticked off about Christmas so everyone has a chip on their shoulder and they're fighting with anyone who looks at them wrong. We've been busy to say the least.

When choosing between two evils, I always like to take the one I've never tried before.
