Best Thing ya can do with Eggnog
I discovered this drink called the "Ginger Snap" the other day, it's so much better than just drinking eggnog:
Ingredients
• .75 oz. spiced rum
• .5 oz. ginger brandy
• 4 oz. eggnog
• 1 ginger snap (optional)
................................................................................
Preparation
• Add spiced rum, ginger brandy, and eggnog in blender
• Blend to desired consistency and pour into glass
• Garnish with ginger snap for dunking if desired
I found it on www.thebar.com, which, if you are into mixed drinks is a great site for high quality drink recipes. Anyone have any other holiday faves?

Sounds Yummy....I haven't seen Ginger Brandy in the UK though. I'll have to hunting.

Well, pretty much everyone around here knows my propensity for
champagne...
Years ago, my then-BF used to make something he called "Morning
Mikey's" which were champagne and cranberry juice cocktail.
Now I learned they're called POINSETTIAS!
;)
(Still yummy, especially Christmas morning!)

I use eggnog in my coffee around the holidays. It makes an awesome coffee creamer!

I love having someone leaving me eggnog once in awhile, beside the delicious milk and cookies.

That sounds yum! I was in Ireland recently and learned how to make an "Irish Mimosa" which is Guinness and champagne mixed. That's a good drink for the guys. The name is different at www.thebar.com, they call them "Black Velvet".

8 oz. eggnog
1 1/2 oz. spiced rum
1/2 oz. 151 rum
cinnamon
cinnamon stick
Mix eggnog and spiced rum over rocks. Float 151 on top, and light. Shake cinnamon into flame for a great "sparkler" effect and a wonderful scent. Invert a plate over the glass to put out the flame, toss in your cinnamon stick and serve.

Ok, that one's a keeper too. Yum. Any idea what it's called? I hate to make up my own names for other people's creations. My Russian friend taught me her holiday drink, no eggnog, but yummy, thebar.com lists it as a "Bourbon Yule Luvit":
Ingredients
• 1 oz. bourbon
• .5 oz. hazelnut liqueur
• 1 sprinkle nutmeg
................................................................................
Preparation
• Add bourbon and hazelnut liqueur
• Layer in order in a shot glass
