IT'S SNOWING IN ST. LOUIE LOUIE!!!!!!!!!!!! The ground is covered!!! I drove in carpool this morning/piled 6 kids into my Sequoia and the thing was slipping all over the place even in 4 wheel.......this is ONE slippery snow!!! The kids were so excited about the possibility of school closing early, I could see the magic in their eyes!!

As they all piled out of my car, I remembered back to when I used to teach and sort of missed mornings like this....kinda wished I was in there teaching today....the mood/environment in a school building on a morning like this is indescribable!!!! Never knowing at what minute administration would "call" it!!!!

Well school wasn't cancelled. But I must say it has been just the right amount of snow....a light flurry coming down most of the day. Just enough to enjoy it (husband/I went to a warm cozy little Greek place for lunch/sat next to a huge window) but not enough snow to really mess your life up for a few hours!!!!!

i remember the first magical december snow...i would turn my outside floodlights on, sit by the slider and fireplace, and marvel at the beauty. ....then a couple days later i would be damn annoyed that my car was frozen. :p

...............and when you got it unfrozen, you'd find it was stuck in the drifts. Then after an hour of shoveling around every tire and numerous attempts to drive it out of there, you'd still get nothing but spinning tires......In the end, you choose a few choice words to soothe your failure, jam the shovel in a drift thats up to your waist................................................and go inside! Ah..........I remember too!!!!!!!

Hell no ! Those guys are crazy ! Some will sit out there when its -20 deg. with a line in the water just waiting and waiting and waiting. Some sit out there all night, I can see the glow in their little tents. It gets really windy here, the lake is very big and I was out having a smoke and two ice houses flew across the lake, they just slid all the way across and disappeared around a bend, I dont know if they were occupied or not but that really made me laugh thinking someone was in there. WHOOOAA...LOL!

Some of these ice houses are really swank, well as swank as an ice house can be. Generators can power tvs, dvd players, small stoves, they go out there on Sunday and drink and watch football and eat their fish right on the lake. Then the really drunk ones start spinning their trucks around in circles and yell stuff out the window. Drunken stuff like HEY MEATHEAD ! LOOK AT THIS ! Then they almost run that guy over while he runs and they laugh and laugh. Its like a show.

Know two state cops that like ice fishing here. But they're both accident prone when together. One used the auger to drill the hole in the ice, didn't put the safety cap over the end when finished and the other guy cut his leg badly on it, prompting a quick trip to the emergency room for stitches.

I would love to have a few HUGE snow storms here in TN so my kids could see and feel what it's like to have them, so when they get married and have children they can tell them what it's like. I remember the snow storms we had when I was growing up, now we're lucky to get flurries. Global warming sucks! :-5

Thank you Nomad. I love snow.

I would appreciate a blizzard tonight so I can't go to work tomorrow. Of course, they have like 12 four wheel drives and an ATV they'll come to get me in. But, if the blizzard is real bad. . .maybe they can't.

More snow, please

Thank you. As you know, we don't have winter, we have cool summer. So, I appreciate all the snow we can handle, you are so sweet!

This heat will zap the life right out of you and dry you like a wad of toilet paper on a bathroom ceiling
