There are two close to me:

1) THe Pearce collection is in Corsicana, Texas at the Navarro College Campus in the Cook Museum. It is a collection of Civil War memoribilla from the collectors that was donated to the college.

2) In Hillsboro,Texas on the Campus of Hill College.

Hey Captain...PM Erinna1112, she has TONS of Civil War knowledge! She's even a re-enactor. She plays the part of Civil War characters on battlefields, educating tourists, etc.. and she knows her stuff! Really smart girl.

There are several in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania - my favorite CW site.

Many of the battlefield sites will have museums, particularly the more well-preserved sites. Try Manassas, Chancellorsville, Spotsylvania, and Fredricksburg - all in Virginia; Vicksburg, Mississippi; Charleston, South Carolina (Fort Sumter). The National Civil War Museum is in Harrisburg, PA.

Enjoy! If you have questions, ask.
