Man sues for 2.5 million/Fear Factor rats disgusted him

I think he should sue the manufacturer of his television instead, apparently it has no off button and he cannot change the channel

Watching contestants eat dead rats on NBC's gross-out stunt show "Fear Factor" so disgusted a Cleveland man that he has sued NBC for $2.5 million, saying he could not stomach what he saw. In a handwritten four-page lawsuit filed in federal court in Cleveland on Tuesday, paralegal Austin Aitken said, "To have the individuals on the show eat (yes) and drink dead rats was crazy and from a viewer's point of view made me throw-up as well an another in the house at the same time."

His suit added, "NBC is sending the wrong message to its TV watchers that cash can make or have people do just about anything beyond reasoning (sic) and in most cases against their will."

He said the show caused his blood pressure to rise so high that he became dizzy and light-headed, and when he ran away to his room, he bumped his head into the doorway.

In a brief telephone interview with Reuters, Aitken said, "I am not at liberty to discuss the complaint unless it is a paid-interview situation."

A spokesman for "Fear Factor" said the show would have no comment until it sees a copy of the complaint. The spokesman said the program did feature an rat-eating scene in New York's Times Square on Nov. 8.

This is another shameful and time- and resource-wasting frivolous B.S. lawsuit. Just when I thought I had seen it all. Someone needs to take that man into a corner and slap some sense into him. This boggles the mind and just chaps my ass. Any butt-head with 4 brain cells can bring some ridiculous law suit like this and the pathetic part is, they usually win!

NBC will probably give this schmuck a big chunk of change just because it saves them money not to go to court!

This is what society has degenerated to..."Don't go out and work, don't strive for bettering yourself, just make up some cockamaimie load of crap like this, and we'll pay you." Sick. Sick and wrong. We need to enact a new law that takes morons like this and punishes them, severely, for wasting time and money.

Can you all tell that this really pissed me off???? Sheesh.... :-5

In New York ( My original home) there are people who get out of bed in the morning, planning more angles to sue. Its basically how thry make their living. That is one more of the 10000 reasons why.. we New Yorkers are such a defensive group of people. Moved to Virginia and discovered. " We dont allow that nonsence here. Suits are few and far between.. Magistrate will throw suit out the window so the attorneys dont even take the case. People are more responsible for their own behavior there. Its a good thing. Tv has stooped to such an all time low... there really should be a TV burning pile.

Well i for one can see where this guy's coming from! Last night a show called celebrity big brother started on channel 4 in the UK, whereby z rated celebs are cooped up in a house & bore us rigid for the next several weeks, big bird Bridget nilson & vacuous airhead "model" Caprice being 2 of the "famous".

So watch out ch4, half of britain could be sueing ya for turning us into gibbering moronic wrecks that actually gives a toss wether or not Slys ex gets her silicones out for the lads!!!
