are you one of those people who face the bloodthirsty mob on the morning after the turkey orgy (an American tradition) to shop for Christmas gifts? who brave the long lines hitting walmart for the sales? who spend the day in horrible traffic in search of the perfect gift? who will gouge out the eyeballs of the person next to you to get that last red sweater on sale? how do you plan your strategy for shopping? LET THE CARNAGE BEGIN!! :yh_star :yh_star :yh_star

Not me! I go anywhere at least 5 miles away from those crazy places! I run all my regular errands-get an oil change, grocery shopping-no one will be there, the lines will be quick!

I'm more of the "shop on the internet" kind. If I do shop at stores, I'll to go the 24 hour ones and shop later at night when it's less insane!

The only way I will go near a store on Friday is armed with an electric cattle prod.. I was cooerced into going one time.. never again..

Is this time of the year worse than boxing day for you all? Here on boxing day hibernation in ones own house is the best idea.

BLACK FRIDAY AS IT'S CALLED..!! :-3

I did go about 10 years ago when I was young and strong.. I can tell you to this day I still have emotional scars from the experience...!! The women are evil and out to kill you if you even think of touching something they might like.

Well I can be nasty as well if provoked.. I have a look that will send chills down your spine.. It comes in handy for such events..:wah:

I am usually working on that Friday, but my thoughts and prayers go out to those who brave the malls and the marts on that day of shopping days.:rolleyes:

I never my house Thanksgiving week-end!!!!! I'd be in jail by Friday night for having to hurt the a-hole who took my parking spot that I'd been waiting for, the big lady with the six kids who won't let me get my cart down the aisle, the poor frazzled sales clerk who is just tired of being called a bit*ch, and any other person who happens to cross my path in the crowded stores. You see I hate crowds. You can ask T-Girl how I feel about shopping and crowds. I give her permission to tell.

Try to do my shopping before black Friday or a lot of on-line shopping for me. Granson loves $$$ best. At least he can buy what he really wants and that makes me happy too.

Bargain-hungry shoppers braved early hours, chilly temperatures and crowds this morning to score juicy deals on "must-have" holiday items. Wal-Mart, the nation's largest retailer, told CNNMoney.com that 2 million shoppers entered their stores in the first hour after they opened, at 5 a.m. ET. The day after Thanksgiving is called "Black Friday" because it traditionally marks the period when retailers finally move out of the red and into the black, or profitability.

A great day to stay home and eat leftovers. Put away the fall deco, such as it was. Started to decorate for Christmas as in Illinois the weather changes hourly and have to put up outside decorations whens its warmer. Suppose to rain and snow here Monday. Saw on t.v. at the opening of a Wal-mart store where the crowd was so big they knocked people down and actually stepped on them. One woman had to go to the hospital. Is that nuts or what? There are no bargains in this world to entice me into that mess.

Well I'm going Christmas shopping tomorrow in a lovely town called Guildford in Surrey. It'll take about 45 minutes to get there but the shops are quaint and ....well...I just fancy a day out to shake off the 'blues'.
