do you send Christmas cards?

Post by lady cop »

up until the past couple years i went all out sending Christmas cards, to all family, friends and co-workers. i didn't buy cheap ones either! aside from the expense, i spent days writing personal notes in each one. last year i missed Christmas and had an excuse, this year i am opting out of the annual frenzy of cards. i am going to be tacky and use the internet! the hallmark card site has lovely free cards to send on the date you wish, i love it! what about you, still following the old tradition? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yes, I still send cards the old fashion way for Christmas.

Think their more personal than an e-mail card, especially if you plan on adding a note or photo's.

But...since you're gonna do it the modern way LC, I hope I'm on your list! :wah:

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU!!!!

I used to but it was one of those things I eventually gave up to cut

my stress level. I know everyone knows I do wish them a Merry

Christmas.

I have a bunch of cards from the sixties, gonna see what kind of

decoration I can do with that. They are way cool.

you have a good point JAB....i like getting them in the mail! maybe i will eat my words and start the cards! the ones for family have to be special individual ones, and the work ones are generic, some need religious missives, and some humorous or nostalgic. it takes some thought. ...one tip...every Dec. 26 i go to barnes and noble and buy the really pricey cards i like for at least 50% off. then stash them.

I'll send cards if I feel like it. Often I get too busy and end up forgetting about it, anyway, though.

My ex-husband's aunt was so organized that after New Year's, when cards are on sale, she would take a night and just go card shopping. She would get all of the birthday cards, anniversary cards, holiday cards and whatever occasion cards that she knew was coming up for the year. She kept a folder and kept everything organized. Then she only had to get the card(s) out, fill them out and send them. I wish that I could be that organized!

I'll send a few cards out. I won't like it, but I'll do it. Also, sending out cards to key people assures that I won't have to actually visit them.

Well I still do send Christmas cards out to people, but not as many as I used to. Is such a nice feeling though to get them, I remember we always used to play the 'see who can get the most cards this year' game back at school. Sadly I never won, but heh I didn't mind.....much..... grumble..... :D

YEP! I go all out with the cards! I figure at least once a year all my friends and family can know I'm still alive and thinking of them! LOL!!

Me to O, I have a "Greetings Card" disc I got with my PC, it's great! I make many "personalized" cards for our relatives. But my wife still thinks she should also send a store bought card, that's just the way she feels. So some get "2" cards! :)

Totally agree with you! Over here, they have the kind that are called 'charity cards'. The proceeds from the cards go to charity. I get those. And the ones from last year I recycle as tags for this years pressies!:yh_bigsmi
