Two lives in a heartbeat
Entwining, merging, striving
Fingers pulsing as they
Pry and twist and cling
To each other.
Two minds in a vortex
Reaching, wanting, longing
Thoughts racing as they
Pry and twist and cling
To each other.
Two lives out of billions
Searching, hoping, trying
Souls soaring and plummeting
As they succeed and fail and look
To each other.
A game not meant to be played
An action not meant to be stayed
A fever that eats the heart
And rips the spirit apart
Then I am left here wondering
If I call a name in the dark
Will it be yours and
Will you answer?

I look forward to reading some of your poems, tmbsgirl.
Thank you for the compliment. I haven't been able to write a good poem for two weeks and I thought this was a keeper.

Hello Coan, I love poetry so much and must say how excited I am to read your beautiful piece. You're really a gifted poet and I admire your abilities. Here is one of my poems.
SCARS OF LIFE
Negations
In countless myraids
Like the sea of clustered stars
Densely packed in milky way
Solutions
Fine as golden braids
Yet unreachable as spars
Of ships sailing far away
Conceptions
Out on vainful raids
To wipe clean the ugly scars
Etched on life by man today

polycarp, that is an astounding poem. Can you please post it in your own thread so more members can see it? It deserves it's own thread anyway.

Thanks Coan, I'll copy the poem and post it as a new thread. Cheers
