My perfect present this year would be

for one of my siblings to sweep mother off her feet to spend the Holiday with them, so my husband and I could enjoy being alone for a change.

Any chance of it happening?

Probably not.

Moved my mother by me, 5 years ago after my father passed away. Just this Spring, she was diagnosed with Altzhiemers and it has been a long and difficult road dealing with this. My husband and I could sure use a break!

Oh, it sure is! Have an older sister that comes out a few times a year, for a week at a time, to give us a break. The other sister comes only once every year and a half. Oh well....what can ya do. Deal with it the best ya can!

You really need to let go of all that anger gerbil, its eating you up inside like some kind of wild crazy animal. Its turning you into some kind of franenstein and its scaring everyone.

COUNTRYDWELLER, My wish is that you get a break for the holiday's !!

I hope your get your break. I have worked at the San Diego Chapter of the Alzerheimer's Association for 15 years. If there is anything I can do to help you with this let me know.

Is she in a facility?? the agitation is called Sundowning it usually happens just before dark... and the mood swings are constant. I hope you have considered a support group.. so you can be amoung other living through this. There is a chapter in our area I'm sure please know that there is help out there just a phone call away. There are respite programs for families so you can get a break. If she isn't in a facility you can find places that will take her for a weekend or they can come to here home and take care of her.

I know what your going through.. you can PM if you need information..;)
ALOHA!!

Anything, as long as it's thoughtful and comes from the heart. I pretty much have everything I need though and I don't ask for much anyway... I prefer to be the giver. :D

Would money buy your perfect present or is it priceless?

I want a partner in my life - someone who knows I'm the best thing to ever happen to him and that I feel exactly the same way about.

That's priceless, no matter how you see it.

I thought I had this one time - but I was wrong :-1

Well I'm very happy with my life at the moment so I wouldnt want anything, but I would still like to give a gift, which would be for everyone else in the world (or as many people as possible) to have a long, happy and prosperous time as soon as possible. :)
