Watching anything with the youngest makes me want to reach for the duct tape. Nearing the end of The Martian, the songs are good but I'm not allowed to sing along

I get absorbed, and enjoy it, unless the plot gets too drifty, then I get bored and walk away.

I love the Errol Flynn swashbucklers. The Seahawk. Capetian Blood. Pretty much all old movies.

I liked the novels they were adapted from. Both were written by Raphael Sabatini, but I bet your local library hasn't got a copy any more.
