Just in case you find it interesting that is more than 50% of what someone oin minimum wage working 40 hours a weel will earn in a year - unless they are part of the gig economy and not working 40 hours a week like all the part time staff working in supermarkets for instance. Many work six hour shifts because at the level they are not even entitled to a break.

How about hypocritical dickheads that seem to think they can tell lies denying they said something and people will just suck it up.

He is right though it was labour that started privatising it. Those responsible for PFI should be barred from public office and have their assets sequestrated to pay off the debt.

Annoyingly people keep bringing out gordon brown as some kind of idiot savant. It'slike being in a reality who is the biggest idiot programme.

How about this one

C19 has massively increased the workload on MPs & they have accordingly had to take on additional staff in order to handle it all. Much more IT equipment is also needed. None of this goes into the MPs Bank Accounts, instead it is all paid for by a Parliamentary Credit Card, which has a limit on it.

Despite the Times' story that MPs had voted themselves a £10,000 pay rise, this is not the case, and was awarded as expenses by IPSA, without even asking the MPs. MPs have no say in their pay or expenses they are permitted ever since the last Expenses Scandal. Furthermore, this is not a permanent thing - just emergency measures.

What are they going to be helping the nurses and doctors are they?

What times story? The ardticle is the daily mail and makes it clear it is expenses.

They did however get a pay rise in march of this year "MPs are to receive an inflation-busting 3.1 per cent pay rise, bringing their basic annual salary to almost £82,000, the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority has announced."

Never heard of him. There was no suggestion it was a pay rise in any of the links I posted that it was a pay rise clearly it was an increase in expenses. True not all tories are bastards just some of them such as johnson and the chancellor (whose name I forget for the moment) who most certainly did vote against it. The tones in scotland compound matters by being singularly inept.

It's the principle of the thing I think annoys people.
