You really didnt like Crash ? Wow I thought it was riveting ! The subject matter was right up your alley, it had a good cast and the intertwining stories were creative I thought.........oh well.We like the convenience of renting so we can pause, discuss, & do all those irritating things that don't work in the cinema. We go to the movies for the blockbuster, huge explosion, special effects movies, but only rarely.

I thought the movie was fantastic. I had tears running down my face.The point was showing how the actions of complete strangers have a rippling effect. And we do intertwine with others without even knowing it. It also adressed racism, bigotry, anger, poverty, mistrust, and vengence. It also touched on the possibility of " Miracles" When the angry shop owner went out to shoot the locksmith, but shot the little girl instead? There also was quite a bit about love and the power of love.

This is weeders reply, I cant think of anything else to add to it. Your perception antennae might need a little tweaking buddy.

Would you say that positive thinking is the key to a happier life or should the key be more involved, e.g. delving into one's past to look for reasons, taking notice of dreams, finding out more about oneself etc? Or is it perhaps a mixture of all these things?

I can't speak to dreams; I don't remember mine. Looking to our past is important to examine why we do stupid things at the most inopportune times, but it is easy to obsess, which is dangerous. I believe attitude is the most important and powerful tool for finding happiness. Wanting what you have is better than having what you want, to paraphrase a really wise person.

Only a glance. Locking stares might break your neck. I imagine it would be like watching girls on the village station platform while riding on the non-stop bullet train.

It's always frustrating when a disciplinary technique that has always been effective on other guys, somehow just doesn't do the trick with another one. That's why it's always a good idea to have a variety of options to choose from. I've heard that making them dance to a .45 beat can work, in a pinch.

Perhaps, if you are very lucky, the feeble efforts of your lifetime will someday be noticed, and maybe, in some small way, they will be acknowledged as the greatest works of genius ever created by Man. Have you ever considered writing a thank you speech in advance so you dont get caught off guard ?

I'm not sure that would be necessary, but you bring up a good point. We might consider attaching the fire hydrants to the walkways themselves ... to prevent injuries.

I have never experimented with any illicit drug, and the military has a signed affidavit to that effect. No magazine subscriptions. I don't read much, unfortunately. I used to really enjoy it.

The last book I read was Blink by Malcolm Gladwell. Interesting theories about decision-making. I recommend it.

I'm always up this early. Even on weekends, since my cat is so thoughtful she assumes I forgot to set the alarm and wakes me anyway. :-5

I usually wake up at six, even with daylight saving. My cat left home a couple of weeks ago and hasn't come back. I think she was upset because I brought a beagle home a couple of months ago.
