Thought I would tag on for the ride.

Heard about this place from me friends and thought I would take a look. Can't belelive how many interesting forums you have, been reading all morning, and finally decided that I would sign up.

I'v been to Wales lots of times, we used to go camping at Angelsea when I was growing up. I think I spelt it wrong though.

I think you mean Anglesey, yeah I've been there a couple of times myself, its in the North.

So you weren't always in Oz then, I mean its a hulluva long way to come on holiday to......Wales!!!:-2

I grew up in North Yorkshire, my parent got fed up with the rain, camping in the rain, fishing in the rain, hiking in the rain, so one day my dad asked if we wanted to move down south to cornwall, or go to Australia. We chose Australia, I have been back to England a few times, the last trip was in 2002.

Yes, I get teased all the time by my friend, it's not a very strong yorkshire accent, It's just an English accent, and I still say "You What" that gets me teased heaps, even my Dad still says it. I didn't realize that I said it, but I am in the State Emergency service and was the radio controller in the flood boat one time, When I got back to base every one gave me heaps because I kept saying "you what" instead of "say again" They gave me a British bandanna to wear with 'You what' written on the front.

SES is a rescue service that trains members in all kinds of rescue, we mostly do road crash, when a victim is trapped in a car we cut it open with the hydhrolics to get them out. We also do flood and storm damage, land search, general rescue which covers lots of different things. We get some awful crashes out here with cars travelling at 110km per hour, road trains and cars. We recently attened and accident with four fatalities out of five people. Then last year we had two cattle road trains with 144 head of cattle all over the road, it took eight hours to free the ones trapped in the back of the road train.
