The rules are simple. A crossword-like grid will be given to you with a few letters already inserted in the grid. Your mission, should you feel up to the challenge, is to fill the rest of the puzzle with the following restrictions:
1) Your words must read left to right and top to bottom.
2) Words cannot be repeated (you can use a word only once in a grid)
3) Words must come from the CSW 15 Lexicon, which is the Official International English Scrabble word list compiled by Harper-Collins. You can check for the validity of a word at https://www.anagrammer.com/
4) There is ONLY 1 SOLUTION to the puzzle !

That was harder but I've met two of the words before, TIARA and CINQ. Aren't EQUES a class of Romans?

Two syllables, EK followed by WES, as spoken by a Spaniard because they're the nearest sound on earth to an ancient Roman.

Hello MagentaFlame,
Sorry to hear that you are sick in bed. I will do my best to keep you busy with more puzzles. But if you like these kinds of puzzles, you would probably like the game I created called "Typing Tiles". It is available for Android at https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... iles&hl=en
and for IOS at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/typing- ... 71144?mt=8
The game is free and you would have dozens of puzzles to play with. The puzzles are of a different type, but the game is based on the same algorithm I use to create the "Fill the grid" puzzles.
The game is free and is a mixture of Scrabble, hangman, and concentration.
Go ahead, try it and let me know what you think.
Make sure you take a look at the FAQ to understand what "FORCING" is. For those interested, that might give them an inkling of how my puzzle generator works.
Get well soon.

Are you planning to start a new thread every time you do a new puzzle? Wouldn't it be simpler to just use the same thread?
Just wondering

In fact I did start with a single thread, but then I wondered how I could stay organized with the different puzzles. I am trying to post one new puzzle per day and I would hate to have to look through a single thread for the responses associated with puzzle X and then puzzle Y, etc... But I am open to suggestions. Perhaps one can convince me that the best thing to do is to have a single thread.

Sorry to hear of your predicament. Are you saying that you do not have a phone or that you are not allowed to have a phone where you are?
In any case, you can still try an older version of the game on Facebook at https://apps.facebook.com/typingtiles
