Forgotten who said their mrs watched the doctor blake mysteries....last and final series is about to begin.
Best line ive heard in ages......
"So youre afraid of getting a haircut?"
" no, im afraid of hairdresses.......all that unsolicited touching"
And if anyone is interested in a series called. "Glitch". Were up to the second series. Its a must to watch the first to undeestand the second. But it is riveting television. I began watching it because the stage setting is not unlike my geographical area which made it scarier to me.

I'm a fan of old Radio programmes. I'm currently listening to my collection of King Street Junior - a radio drama / sitcom dating from the 70s, set in an urban Junior school, following the lives of the teachers & their daily ordeals. While these are playing I can quite happily listen to these while I get on with other tasks - at the moment programming, putting together audio files & burning them to CD as Training CDs for the choir's Xmas programme.
It's a real shame that the age of Radio programmes has long since gone. I remember the days of the family sitting around the wireless to listen to the sitcoms, panel show, quizzes, dramas, etc. They were always high quality - far more than you get on TV these days.

I love the audio books they read early in the mornings on ABC radio. Last book i heard was. 'Spies like us' would never have picked that book up but it was pretty good.

I also have a whole collection of Audio Books on my 'E' Drive ( my 'E' Drive being the Har Drive I use for long term storage - mainly of entertainment media - i.e. Films, TV, Radio & Audio Books. - although It really does need a bit of a clearout. It's a 1TB drive & it's getting close to being full.

Im afraid im in a bit of a time warp fourpart and having to relearn all those computer skills and knowledge from years ago. I bought a stereo recently (to replace one ive had for 20 years.) Id say the device does everything but im not sure how im going to play cassette tapes. My boys are impressed by it though. (I had to go out and buy a USB stick to tape my cds so i can play music in others cars.)
So needless to say i dont know what a 1TB even means. Lol

Put quite simply, if you remember the old ZX81 from the late 1970s, that had 1kb of memory available. When I had my PC built, a TB drive was pretty much top of the range. A TB (Terabyte) being about 1073741824kb (ZX81s). Even the most basic mobile phones these days have far more memory available than my first PC. You even see little kids in buggies playing with 'toy' tablets, but although they may be 'toys' they are still far more advanced technologically than that first PC was.

Yeah, 1 TB used to seem ridiculously large to me. I thought I'd never fill one up in my whole life. Now I have a 4TB at work and two 3 TB drives at home...all filled up. I am lusting after an 8 TB drive I saw in the ads the other day.
It was pretty cool, though, to reduce my entire small-bedroom-sized DVD collection to a unit that fits in the palm of my hand. I can browse them by folder and play them through my blu-ray player!
I highly recommend this converter. It'll handle any kind of DVD and you can even upgrade to a blu-ray version. DVD files are around 1.5 GB for a medium quality burn and 2.5 GB so you put hundreds on a 2 TB drive. (BTW... It is legal to own one backup copy of a DVD you own, but don't start pirating and selling them!)

And the hilarity continues.....
Corey Bernardy an Australian conservative politician has labelled a primary school fund raiser as..." a disgusting politicizing of our children" . He said the same sex marriage debate is influencing a fund raiser being held by a primary school where kids and teachers come dressed in a dress or casual dress to school.....boys in dresses? Apparently its disgusting!
But someone forgot to tell this idiot of a politician that the school has been running this fund raiser for six years and wearing a dress to school is significant because the raising of funds is for the education of girls in third world and war torn countries.
So whats the backlash to this sorded disgusting fund raiser? ...hee hee hee!
The general public got to hear about it and began donating money.....the small primary school just raised $82,000.
Ha ha ha.! Next years chocolate drive isnt going to get close to that amount. The kids must be really chuffed about this.

I had a bizarre call yesterday from a lady who phoned to complain. Having recently switched, after having seen all the energy price hikes & gone through extensive calculations to find which supplier would be cheapest, she had switched to us (Utilita). Then, seeing about the other companies putting their prices up again, whilst we had been the only one to put our prices down (again), she was complaining that this had now confused her calculations as she had to deal with neagtive percentages to work out if she would be better off with someone else. I had to explain that regardless of amounts, if A,B,C, & D all cost more that E, then A,B,C & D all put their prices up whle E puts their prices down, then E is still going to be the cheapest. But then she went on to say "Yes, but I had already worked out exactly how much cheaper it was. Now you've gone & messed all that up". Can't argue with that. Gotta love some of these complaints.

Ben Elton has been an Australian citizen and lived here for the last 16 years?
I did not know that. I always think of him as a British comedian

No one really pays attention to them, but even if they get 1% to pay attention, they make money.

Hello there, how can we help today?
Hi
I have a ASL475D180 dated 20-05-2015 but I can't find it on your website. I'm looking for a manual.
I need to drain it to replace a heating element.
is there a name or a date label on the side of the cylinder
data with bar code
1 50520 19020 7 dated 20-05-2015, unvented
ASL 180 DIR SLIM UV
its an old stainless lite i will send you link to old manual
thank you
gledhill.net/trade/product-dow...
look at stainless lite (discontinued)
Thanks, I can see that.
is that your cylinder
are you a G3 qualified engineer
I'm an end user
to work on this cylinder you need to be fully G3 qualified as it is a pressurised cylinder
and you carnt just drain it down
I'll go and find one. It might just be a tripped thermostat.
if you are a Home owner you carnt work on this cylinder
I'll not drain it then, I'll find a chap.
yes if you dont follow the Drain down procedure you can inplode the cylinder
Thank you for your help and advice. I'll definitely get someone.
DO NOT DRAIN DOWN THE CYLINDER YOUR SELF YOU MUST GET A FULLY QUALIFIED G3 ENGINEER WHO KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING
I heard!

It seems as though an ex-member might have found herself a new job. She knew it was you, spot.

Some observations of the day....
4 1/2 hpur horror ride on a vline bus.
Couple of doors down from where im supposed to be i walk into ...."a coffee house".... in flinders lane melbourne.
For some reason the person who served me was 'surprised' that i wanted a flat white in house.....its a coffee house! It has tables and chairs!
So! To make me feel uncomfortable ive been seated riggt next to an open door of the kitchen and the corrider to the restrooms.
Well first the abomination of young an d jacksons now this.
