I've recently noticed that someone has been doing the same sort of thing in our neighborhood. Every few days, I run across a bag with the leavings of a mid-size dog on the walkway, in front of one of the neighbors' house.
I pick Pitstop's leavings and just bring them home to our own trash bin.

Well that is what most civilised dog-owners do, but there seems to be an element of idleness about. Makes me laugh when I think that the lazy buggers have done the main uggy thing by picking up the dog mess in a plastic bag, so why the hell don't they take the bag with contents back home to their own rubbish bins? Beats me !

We went to Norfolk on Sunday. I checked the weather forecasts for the weekend and the following week and I could see that Sunday was going to be the best day, sunshine wise and temperature wise, so we retired to bed earlier than usual on Saturday, and got up in time to leave the house at 7.30 am.
The run out was very good and we were parking up on the quayside at Wells-next-the-Sea by 9.40 am ! By 11.00 am the quayside carpark was full ! I'm sure we will do that again soon !
We had a lovely day and the weather was warm, with sun all day, so we were able to potter about in the town and go to the beach. There were literally dozens of people on the beach, just like a summer's peak-time day, and as the tide was out there were dozens of sand castles appearing all over the beach ! It was lovely to see all the children having a wonderful time - it was still Easter Holiday time for them.
We got back home before sunset, nicely tired, with batteries charged. We're off to Derbyshire tomorrow ! Right gaddabouts at the moment ! :yh_rotfl :yh_bigsmi

I'm really fed up with this Brexit stuff. I know what I want, and I made my decision some months ago. All this hoo hah from the anti exits and the pro exits is getting daft. They're all trying scare tactics, but if folk are thinking sensibly, they will know which is the best action to take in order to give this country the best possible chance of survival.

Yesterday my hubby took our car to be washed and valetted. It took 3 fellas working hard, half an hour to wash, dry, and vac and clean inside the car. I think it would have taken my hubby and son most of a day to do the same amount ! There were so many dog hairs all over the inside of the car, I reckon it could have filled a fairly large cushion !
Anyway, the car looks brand new, which ain't bad for a 19 year old ! It cost us £13 for the 3 men and the half hour of hard work, and I think that was good value !

Wow! You said it! I called about getting the Jag washed, waxed & detailed and they wanted well over 100 bucks. And the inside was immaculate.

Well these guys are,, I think either Polish or Rumanian and they've been running their car-washing business now for a couple of years. We've used them several times before and they always do a good job and their charges are very reasonable. Whenever we've passed their site, they have always had a small queue of waiting cars, so the word must have spread, and they are kept busy. Good luck to them I say. They all seem to be in their 20s or 30s, so maybe they have a young family, or maybe they send money back to relatives in their home country. Either way, they are not afraid of hard work and there seems to be about 6 of them working 7 days a week ! These sort of immigrants I can welcome. Those who skive and beg for hand-outs and claim various benefits from the British taxpayer, I'm afraid I have not a lot of tolerance for.

I think many members have gone to FaceBook. That is one site that I won't go on, as I believe their security isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Somebody told me that although they had put restrictions on their account, strangers could still read everything and even write comments. This was a couple of years ago mind, so maybe things have been sorted by now. But I still won't go on, as there is a family that I loathe who I know goes on FB on a regular basis. I really don't want them to be able to read my posts etc.

Been a bit busy today, but we may go out tomorrow, depends if the weather is OK and not tippling down with rain.
I've also got to get sorting out stuff of mine to take to the charity shops - I have lots of garments that are in good condition that I won't wear again. Need to get rid of quite a bit of stuff, maybe I will be able to sell some items on Ebay ? I shall see what I can do about that. :-3 :yh_think

That's too bad. I was going to tell you to check out my daughter's page on photography-Photos From Below Sea Level.
But I know what you mean about not wanting certain people to see stuff. You can limit who can see certain things--my daughter sets mine because I'm too stooped!

I took about 8 bags full of clothes, shoes, etc. that I just didn't want to bother with trying to sell them at garage sales. I still have clothes and shoes that are 30 years old, in good shape that I can still wear! And do.

At the moment I have other things on my mind and other things I have to do, so although sorting my unwanted (any more) clothes out is fairly urgent, other things are more urgent or demanding of my time. I sometimes wonder how I can get everything done. I have no motivation because of life stuff smothering me all the time, and I despair sometimes of ever getting straight. I thought I was strong and tough, but I'm not really - deep down I find it difficult. I look around and keep saying where the hell do I start ? :-5 So I don't start ! :-5 Simple.

Today I'm going to Oceanside, to the resort to meet up with my good friend from Pittsburgh, so we'll be tripping down Memory Lane for the next 48 hours and probably be having some great seafood.
A strange thing has been happening when I try to log in to Forum Garden. A Security Alert warning comes up every time. This is the only site that does that. We recently upgraded our server, would that be the reason?

Thanks for trying to help but I can't do either of the suggestions so I am quoting what the message alert is:
"The security of this web site or the integrity of this connection cannot be verified.

The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site. Do you want to proceed?"
This is the only site that this happens on and my son-in-law has been using his computer using our server, without any problem or an alert popping up.

Something exceedingly strange occurred over-night ! I placed my 'sloppy' trousers, on top of my other clothes that I picked out to wear for today, on a chair near to my wardrobe in the bedroom. When I awoke and got around to getting dressed, when I put my 'sloppy' trousers on, I noticed a dark patch (brown) of just over 1" across on each of the thigh areas of each leg !
I investigated these patches and I was particularly puzzled as to why they should have appeared over-night (they certainly weren't there when I removed my trousers before getting into bed ! ). I had no idea what they were ! I curiously wiped a finger across one of them and I sniffed my finger. To my amazement, I could smell creosote !!!!! Both these stains smelled the same - creosote !! Now we have no creosote anywhere in our house, or even in the garden, besides we wouldn't have any of the stuff anyway because creosote has been banned, I believe, for several years. It used to be used to preserve wood on fencing etc. but I believe that scientists discovered that creosote could cause cancer !
The smell was definitely creosote - very strong smell and instantly recognisable. I used to quite like the smell !
The thing is, where on earth have these two stains come from ? Not from anywhere in our house, that's for sure. So how did they arrive on my 'sloppy' trousers overnight? Just a tad disquieting methinks !

Let's investigate this.
1. Who had access to your sloppy trousers and your room?
2. Where could the creosote have come from? Anywhere outside your house?
3. Is there anything else that would smell like creosote?
4. What were you doing the last time you wore the sloppy trousers?
5. Do you sleepwalk?
6. If all else fails shall we consider paranormal sources like the spirit who hid my wristwatch from me and my house mate for 9 hours? :-3

By the way, while I've been sitting typing this, another patch smelling of creosote has appeared next to the original patch on my right leg ! Yes I did keep these same sloppy trousers on because I was curious to see if anything else would happen, and it has !!!!! I just thought of the first time I smelled creosote. I was out in the desert and it began to rain. I smelled this strange smell and I asked what it was. It seems our desert has a lot of creosote shrubs which throw off that smell when they get damp. I was new to the desert and it hadn't rained before so I hadn't noticed any odor.
To get back to your mystery--is it possible that you rubbed against something that held the creosote residue and recently got wet?

The first patch has now enlarged to 1 3/4" across and the one next to it is 1" across and it has now joined up with the first one. The stain on the left thigh of my 'sloppy' trousers has not changed at all.

Where are your knees when this happens ? (I know they are in the middle of your legs)
I mean are they tucked under a table ?
Is there something under the table ?
Has you faithful hound been rolling in something ?
Have you got coal tar soap in the house?........... thats smells similar to creosote.
We will solve this Gilly......you are not alone...........unlike Jashley

Here's power to your elbow Zap ! You may be interested to know that I changed my trousers at lunch time, and since then there have been no further deposits ! Although my replacement trousers are black and maybe difficult to see any stains like that, but I can't smell creosote any more ! I will still be vigilant though.

Would you believe, it is snowing quite hard here (we were warned that it might !), and there is thunder and lightning !!!!! I shall switch off my laptop as it is connected to the mains electric and I don't want a surge.
