Who likes the Simpsons - well they are about to take the Arab world by storm as the Shamoons .They have been re- branded in a bid to make it a hit in the middle east . TV bosses have made several changes to the characters so they are more accepterble to muslims - dad homer has been remnamed Omar and scenes of him drinking duff beer and eating pork pies have been cut -while rogue son bart has been renamed Badr. Egyptian actors have been hired to do the characters voices but catchphrases will stay - screening by dubai based satellite network MBC is screening episodes twice a day as a treat for ramadan. Well we cant have them all to our selves.
