Tonight's Big Fight

Post by Lon »

I am a fan of Professional Boxing and I have ordered up on Pay Per View for my flat screen TV the biggest money fight in the history of Professional Boxing. The fight will cost me $100 billed to my TV Cable account. I will host 14 people in my apartment to watch the fight and have charged them $10 each. I will be able to cover my cost and will furnish refreshments. I have never had more than four people in my apartment at one time so this will be interesting. I have arranged good seating and everyone should be comfortable.

I used to follow boxing. The attraction for me was lost some time ago. This is clearly a big draw. Two of the best to enter a ring.

I hope Manny gives Mayweather the hiding he deserves. I detest his arrogance and his violent misogyny. He claims to be as good as Ali but as Colin Murray said in a newspaper article, he is not fit to empty Ali's spit bucket. I think it would be good for boxing if Pacquiao won
"He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire."

Nice to see the entrepreneurial spirit alive and kicking.

And that is what is obscene with this fight, the value of the purses..........................unbelievable !!!!!
I thought I knew more than this until I opened my mouth

Dad and brother, big boxing fans. I accepted it. Went to numerous matches, good stuff. Well, brother got into it a big way and went for Golden Gloves. When it came time he backed out and decided he really didn't want to hurt anybody in the ring, except me.

I was more into chess and not getting my face punched.

Last time I went was many years later and forgot just how brutal the game is. Went to see a co-worker's first professional fight, and most likely last. The older I get, the more boxing looses its attraction.

With all that said, if invited I would go to your place just to hang around real men who enjoy a manly sport.

Looks like you planned it well. Seating for everybody. The real reviews come from your neighbors.
What happened to Kamala Harris' campaign?
She had the black vote all locked up.
