I'm not at all sure what just happened but I seem to have watched several ABBA videos on YouTube. I'd forgotten how much I like them.

How could I ever refuse? I feel like I win when I lose.

Must be funny in a rich man's world. ABBA started a new era, but if weren't for the quality of recording and instrumentation they might have been laughed out of existance before they got started.

I think it hinges on the part of your quote that says "Watched"

If it were only Benny and Bjorn I am sure you would have listened only.

Well that's it. I've got Alzheimers alright. I only just now understood the implications of the OP's intro. Spot said that he "seems to have watched several ABBA videos". And the final clue to the puzzle comes from you, Bruv ....... "watched".

Who else has access to your computer, Spot?

You have to remember that ABBA came at a time when Demis Rousous and Julio Igensias were also popular. They were OK .... but that Baccara! Uhhhhhg! They were even worse than Amanda Lear and Nina Hagen! Worst was Baccara's ABBA imitation tune "The Devil Sent You To Lorado", obvioulsy a rip off of ABBA's "Fernando".

The "seem" comes from not having noticed the time pass as I was watching. And, of course, listening, but it was the outfits that caught my attention visually. I used to dress like that.

There are a number of Scandinavian groups I admire. High on the list is Aqua. I even have a couple of their CDs here somewhere.

A-ha. I thought now that YouTube shows "watched" (on the videos you've already seen) that someone else was using your computer and watching ABBA and that "seemingly" was your way of saying so. :wah:

A good way to break an Abba addiction.

Watch the movie, "Mamma Mia" with Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan.

It cured me.

Which one did Spot dress like, the blond or the brunette? I doubt he looked as good in those outfits. But then again, I prefer women to men. Not that there's anything wrong with either attraction, that is.

This is the youtube trace from my browser history last night. Perhaps I strayed off topic at some stage. I have no idea where my mind was headed but, for an ancient folk rocker, it's an odd selection.

Steve Harley - Make Me Smile

Sparks - This Town Ain't Big Enough For Both Of Us

Suzi Quatro - Can The Can

Middle of the Road - Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep

Mungo Jerry - In The Summertime

Albert Hammond - The Free Electric Band

Sailor - Girls Girls Girls

Gary Shearston - I Get A Kick Out Of You

Hurricane Smith - Oh babe what would you say

Wizzard - See My Baby Jive

I can see I was revisiting a bit of my past but I can't recall much of what happened that far back. It looks like 1972-4.

As for how I dressed back then, it involved a lot more colour than what I put on these days.

Georg Kajanus, the singer in Sailor, is one of my all-time wow what a guy blokes. As far as I'm concerned he rarely put a foot wrong musically and Sailor's nickelodeon sound was as magical as their lyrics. I suspect I was far more a Roy Wood lookalike back then. I'll vote for reincarnation as Suzy Quatro next time round.

I do hope that Roger Whittaker one doesn't include the word Streets in the title.

Copy the link as you've done. Click the "film strip" thing, paste the link in it and give it the OK. But before you actually send it remove the "s" from https >>> "http". That's all there is to it.
