Cheers bez, living not far from Telford. Not from here originally I was born and bred in wiltshire down south. Been here bout 10 years and love it. Even getting a bit of midland accent, sounds very strange with my wiltshire twang!

My first impulse would be changing the historic moment of starting this thread. :wah:

Okay, a little seriousness, but just a little. My mother died. Had she not died, I would not have graduated high school in foster care, which allowed me to go to college (or at least start college). That allowed me to meet a man I never would have met otherwise, who convinced me to join the Air Force. Had I not joined the Air Force, I never would have gone to Okinawa to meet my beloved. Every experience, good and bad brought me here - the same place that your good and bad experiences brought you. And here we've met and become friends. Why on earth would I want to screw that up?

You get serious about holidays?? For me, someplace of natural beauty. Architecture & history is okay, but for me ... I think someplace deep in the South American Jungle. Not the Rainforest because it's too fragile. It's the jungle for me!

It's a question, isn't it? :D

It went very well. We just explored the area around the workplace (assuming I get the job). Beautiful weather. Very friendly people. Clean neighborhoods nearby. Lots and lots of shopping, including Asian grocers (big plus!).

The only negative was the super-complicated highway system all around, but I'm generally pretty good at mazes. ;)

All-in-all, I could work there if they begged me. :D

that spelling is because I'm wearing a skirt, isn't it? Well, it's a kilt and it's quite - um - ventilating.

I'm ambivalent about pokeman. I picked that particular avatar because it had the most action. Now it's how everybody recognizes me, so I keep it. Once I get a job I'll become a paying member and then I'll use a pic of Andy Griffith as Andy Taylor (it was a gift from a dear friend).

If you were walking through the woods and a grizzly bear attacked you and started eating your head would you be able to lie there and play dead like your supposed to or would you just freak out and flail your arms and legs about making a spectacle of yourself ?

Also do you enjoy split pea soup ?

I think I might thrash around in initial panic, but after a minute or two I'd be able to lie as still as the dead. :-2

I'd probably like split pea soup if it tried it. If I would just give it a chance. Maybe one bite and I'd change my mind. What do I say?

If my fate is to be a tree

I see me to be a chi chi tree

Tall and straight and strong you see?

And full of the fruit, the sweet chi chi.

And what is this fruit, the sweet chi chi,

So large and juicy, swinging free?

You can only find it when asleep, you see?

For fiction is the chi chi tree.

Oh, and 4328, approximately.

Probably the little chattery irritating ones that roamed in packs and laughed at the lumbering T-Rexes as they made pitiful efforts of catching one of us.

I forget the name. :o

I used to read fantasy novels alot when I drove bus. Not much effort in driving a bus; you only need one eye. :D Kidding. There was alot of waiting time. Most of the books were 300-500 pages.
