I Stand with Police Officer Darren Wilson

Anyone remember the riots? 2014 Ferguson unrest?

Not suprisingly once again we are seeing the sacrafice of an accused man to satiisfy mobs in exchange for votes and and some sense of racial revenge.

I held my counsel.

The officer, Darren Wilson, has told the authorities that during the scuffle, Mr. Brown reached for the gun. It was fired twice in the car, according to forensics tests performed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The first bullet struck Mr. Brown in the arm; the second bullet missed.

The forensics tests showed Mr. Brown’s blood on the gun, as well as on the interior door panel and on Officer Wilson’s uniform. Officer Wilson told the authorities that Mr. Brown had punched and scratched him repeatedly, leaving swelling on his face and cuts on his neck.

I like this commentary,

We are witnessing a modern-day, high tech media lynching of an innocent police officer who clearly acted in self defense.

Damn the facts. President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder are railroading an innocent man to fit their narrative of racism in America. The president needs an indictment and conviction to please his last remaining group of supporters – black Americans.

There's not a version of this story I fully believe. It makes no sense to me that Brown grabbed for Wilson's gun. Did the autopsy say he was on drugs such as crack? Otherwise, it makes no sense. The whole story from either perspective is strange to me.

I am waiting for the official investigation before I have much to say about the whole thing. There are already enough people expressing their opinions without the facts at their disposal.

I consider the results of a "Private Autopsy" also to be highly questionable, as these are likely to be giving the results the 'customer' wants to hear.

I'll work with the facts available and run with them.

Do you really think an "official investigation" is worth much?

Maybe to you or me, but to the rioters, looters and other opportunists?

Naw

Not me.

As long as the leaders of the discord occupy the highest levels of government, there is no end.

The Pulse: Wait for the facts in Ferguson case

We know a lot less than we think about this thing, and until all of the facts are sorted out, all the opinions in the world are useless.

Just an "Oh, by the way."

most recent info suggests that there was an altercation at, or within the police vehicle, and shots were fired. Then the perpetrator/victim ran away after suffering a wound.

At that point, the cop should have reported shots fired and requested back-up. Instead, he began to pursue, and fire at a fleeing suspect. The suspect turned around, and the officer continued to shoot.

At some point the fatal shot was fired.

My first impression. Again, two people are behaving stupidly, and one of them ended up dead.

The Victim must be held responsible for his part in the situation, but the Officer should have shown more restraint, and should be held responsible for his actions.

The media needs to back off and let the legal process take place.

If, as claimed, the only gun concerned was that of the officer's, then if, as with British Police, they weren't armed, it wouldn't have happened in the first place.

True, the shooting wouldn't have happened if the officer was unarmed. Brilliant logic, there.
