Find out what was on when you were born, back in the black and white world.

Don't you mean Wireless?

I looked at mine for March, 1960. Not much difference. They're still showing the repeats.

Good point!

All I could find was the Third programme and another, whose name I've already forgotten :-3

You might laugh, Betty...I find it scary :-1

Oh.

I was born at the end of 1948. Maybe I didn't search properly?

There wasn't much on in those days.

Just a kid........here you are at random 7th November 1948

Maybe a search around the mid 60's through the 70's might be better?

25th December @ 20.30...Alice in Wonderland

That's odd because it's one of my favourite books.

Mind you, even though there was BBC TV - plus the new ITV channel, not many in those days were rich enough to own a TV.

I remember, as a kid, listening to the Radiogram, and peering through the tuning window I could see all the glowing valves, but I never saw what I was looking for - the little people inside the set. I was certain it was like TV. I was also sure I caught sight of them moving in there from time to time, but with hinsight it was probably just the heat from the valves causing the light to be distorted, thus appearing to seem like movement of some kind.
