Police are searching a Berkshire property belonging to Sir Cliff Richard in relation to an alleged historical sex offence.
No arrests have been made and Sir Cliff, who is out of the country, said the allegation was "completely false"
I caught the BBC news at one and immediately Googled 'Cliff Richard',and if half of the rumours are remotely true...............it's a worry.

I always take Internet Rumours with a pinch of salt. It's the International Incubator of B/S.
The facts of the case, as given, is that they are investigating a single allegation, and that the case isn't even directly related to Operation Yewtree, although the Met, who are handling OY have been informed.
There can be no doubt that there have been illicit goings by a number of celebrities in the past, but come all the muck-raking there are also bound to be those who see the opportunity to make a quick buck by claiming compensation or an out of court settlement for something that never really happened, just to silence them.
Personally, if / when it comes to light that the claims are false, then I'd make a counter prosecution for Slander. If that became the standard procedure, then I imagine a lot more people would think twice about the veracity of their claims first.

I can't be bothered with all of that and I don't really give a stuff, unless you bring Gerry Marsden and Peter Noone into it. If they end up in the muck then all I've ever believed in will be in shambles. So if those two have been involved in anything other than squeaky clean, then don't even tell me. I wouldn't be able to bear it.
