I think Saint_ was referring to 'cracker' as a white person, used as a derogatory term.

I've seriously never heard 'Cracker' to relate in any way to race / colour whatsoever. Come to that, I've never heard it to refer to underwear either, and I'm English. Perhaps it's a regional thing?

By about 75 miles. In larger countries that would be considered local 'shopping' distance.

Why would you hear it, it is a term used amongst blacks about whites ?

How about "Wet dog"?

Apparently white people smell like a wet dog, thus the name.

According to Thais, hearing westerners speak sounds like barking dogs! :wah: I'd like to say what Thai sounds like to me, but I can't find the word for it.

Cracker is a term some blacks use about some whites. It is nowhere near as derogatory as whites using the 'N' word as there is no power behind the word 'cracker'. It began because a whip was cracked upon a field slave's back by the overseer, & was first used to describe the overseer--"the cracker". Today it means something along the lines of 'dumbass'.

It's kind of like Mexicans using the word 'gringo' for white man. In other words, so what? There is no offense in being called a white as we used to control everything anyway & still control most things.

I have never heard the term 'wet dog'.
