Well done
Hardly well done.......... if they had put some shuttering around it, it wouldn't have splashed up the window and poured over the pavement, and they could have smoothed the top..........that would have been "well done"
Seriously.....while agreeing with the idea behind it, it is a criminal act.

There are some who promote the concept of "civil disobedience" as they go about vandalizing public/private property.
Not something I am a big fan of, but I must give credit when the vandal does the next step, comes forth, saying "I did that 'cause" and accepts the consequences.

Off the top of my head I would say civil disobediance and and criminal acts of vandalism are vastly different.

I find something quite repugnant when the largest chain In the country raking In billions Installs spikes to avoid the homeless taking shelter. I also find It repugnant that another supermarket chain raking In millions pours bleach on waste food to stop the homeless eating.
How about they Invest a small fraction of their Inflated profits Into homeless shelters and leave charities and police to do their jobs at moving them on somewhere safer?
It's class differences In the most obnoxious vulgar manner.

I must admit I didn't know anything about Tesco having been involved in this sort of thing, and it surprises me that they would have done it in the first place, as our local Tesco Superstore donates a load of its Out Of Date / Near Out Of Date stuff to the local Homeless Shelter.
I had, however already signed a petition to Boris Johnson a few days ago, set up by Change.org, demanding the removal of some similar sort of spikes. Perhaps there's some here that might like to sign it as well:
http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/m ... ess-spikes
When I first left home, after years of physical abuse from my Father, I spent a while on the streets myself. I was one of the fortunate ones who, with the help of the Council, went on to find some digs & eventually the flat where I live comfortably still. However, having been in that situation & having seen things from the other side of the fence, I find spikes such as this totally abhorrent in the face of humanity. They should be banned Internationally as part of Human Rights.

I find something quite repugnant when the largest chain In the country raking In billions Installs spikes to avoid the homeless taking shelter. As do I........but as with many things it is HOW or by WHO you make your disgust known that make your voice more acceptable.
I also find It repugnant that another supermarket chain raking In millions pours bleach on waste food to stop the homeless eating.
From the source you quoted......."The firm admitted that a single member of staff at that store had suggested the food might have been "treated" with chemicals........................ A spokeswoman said: "In order to deter people from taking waste from our bins, the staff have on occasion, intimated that our waste is treated." "This action is outside company policy."
Also from the same source and equally as repugnant......."According to the Food Standards Agency, around a third of the food bought by households is thrown away and "most of this could have been eaten".
How about they Invest a small fraction of their Inflated profits Into homeless shelters and leave charities and police to do their jobs at moving them on somewhere safer?

Why? when there are other companies such as Vodaphone have not paid a penny Tax since 2011 despite profits over 59.......wait for it...... BILLION.....last year.
If I had been in charge of the stud protest, I would have measured the area to be cemented and prepared batons with adhesive tape to stop overflow. The batons would be installed as out of sight my fellow conspirators mixed quick setting cement or floor leveling compound in buckets so we could pour the stuff quickly and efficiently within the containment area.
Or as an after thought, maybe premeasured foam blocks placed into the space and super glued into place.
My point being this action was ill concieved and poorly carried out.

I've just had the following email from Change.org:
The spikes have been removed from 118 Southwark Bridge Road, SE1!
The events of this week have been incredible. As soon as the spikes were spotted, the public rallied together and demanded their removal. Over 130,000 people signed my petition. We demanded better from the developers and better from our capital.
Boris Johnson spoke out and said they needed to go. Spikes were spotted outside a branch of Tescos and so activists poured cement mixture over them. Hours later Tescos removed the spikes.
It was then just a matter of keeping up the pressure.
Then this morning the spikes in Southwark were gone!
I am overwhelmed at the outpouring of compassion and humanity in supporting the removal of the spikes and getting the City, the UK and the world talking about the issue of homelessness. The spikes were simply a symbol for the way homeless people are often treated, they have started an important discussion that has been a long time coming and one that we need to keep having.
Please share the good news by tweeting this:

Thank you and well done -- we did this together!

noun, plural am·bi·gu·i·ties.
1.
doubtfulness or uncertainty of meaning or intention: to speak with ambiguity; an ambiguity of manner.
2.
an unclear, indefinite, or equivocal word, expression, meaning, etc.: a contract free of ambiguities; the ambiguities of modern poetry.
Seemed pretty clear to me
