Despite them telling us about the species that are near extinction they are still finding new ones, ones they never knew about till now.
And we think we know so much.....we only scratch the surface.

I've heard the Lib Dem voter Is now an endangered species and government Is urging rehabilitation for them but alas, I think It's far too late.
The last one was spotted In rural Kent making his way to the Polls, but was persued and done away with before he could breed.

Funny you should say that Bruv. We almost lost the entire population of Tasmanian devils. They have put a colony that escaped the decease that was killing them all off on a little island off Tassy. But what was striking when they were checking out the island was, no tassy devils so therefore no natural predators and they found that the possums stepped up the evolutionary scale and began being the predator. Began coming out of the trees and attacking other animals for food. Vegetarian to meat eater. The Devils will fix that up again.
See what happens when you stuff around with nature? It's been said over and over that in Aus there are more unknown species than known ones. Which is kind of weird to me becasue if they are unknown how do they know whether it's more, or less?

And we explore space but know next to nothing about the depths of our seas.

If the great barrier reef had a religion then maybe some would care?
What a stupid thing to say given that you spend all your time on here viciously accusing others of not caring about issues you care about!
Or maybe you do it just to get a response as you like confrontation, now you can pop back in and have a rant at me

I beg to differ, here's one petition with more signatories than you'll ever get.

The reef may be protected, but the area around it is wide open, and the ocean currents are no respecters of boundaries.

Thanks Lars... surely If sludge can enter a protected area, that still makes unlawful ?

GBRMPA, whose board is currently under investigation for links to the mining industry, saw its Facebook page bombarded with negative comments over the weekend as people questioned how the very association charged with protecting the Great Barrier Reef could “cave to political pressure.â€
Great Barrier Reef ‘In Danger’ After Marine Park Authority Approves Dredge Dumping
Be interesting to see the results of such an investigation that's for sure.
