teacher gets the sack because she stopped a fight?

Well the hell? I'd give her a medal!!! Those boys started their little tiff in the classroom and both are big boys. and she used a broom to split it up ...good on her !!! if my boys did that **** I'd be using a broom as well, because I think like those boys in the classroom they would be very sorry if they'd accidently hit her during their fight.

That woman is okay in my books!!! So much for all that security in American classrooms, The kids eventually stepped in . And if that woman had not have done anything those students wouldn't have either . Do we really want that kind of lesson for our kids? ...to do nothing for their fellow students?

Considering what happened to a teacher in the UK recently, if nothing else she deserves medal for bravery!

I think teachers know whether they have a dangerous student or whether they have a few teens coming to school with raging hormones.

I saw a very funny comic who spoke about his first year of teaching english. He told his class to write a letter home whilst they were on a convict ship. Then as he explained to them how to 'teabag' their work to make it look like an old document he couldn't understand why the class kept cracking up laughing. Eventually it got out of control when the kids kept mentioning the word 'teabagging'. He finally lost his patience and told one of the boys "I'll teabag YOU in a minute!!!!!!"

So the next day when he's sitting in the principles office with the student......and the students parents..........and the police.......... he found out there was another meaning to 'teabagging' .

All US schools as do UK schools have a protocol for breaking up fights.

It has nothing to do with how a parent would break up a fight between siblings.

In the USA and the UK, you simply can not put your hands on another person. What she did In effect was assault another persons child with an Implement. Regardless of wether he was hurt or now, she used an Implement to swipe a child.

All kids fight and will have a scrap at some point In their lives but teachers do not have the right to put their hands or anything else on those who are fighting.

Her school had a protocol that she did not adhere to. She's lucky the parents are not suing her butt.

I think the world is going mad.

There is nothing wrong with me, I got smacked once by my dad ( he felt so bad about it and I didn't sit for a week).

My mum & dad used the counting "one, two, three " thing.

She never ever got past the two after that. We were never scared of our parents, but we knew not to F. them about.

I didn't read the article but just in general.. Some kids need some serious discipline.

But that's it Chloe She wasn't disciplining them she was trying to get them off each other and trying to stop them from destroying the class room. Which the other kids stepped in as well and succeeded.
