Has there ever been a precedent to this kind of en masse kidnapping? Up to 300 girls missing ...then a Village has 300 of it's occupants killed. Which in that part of hte world is nothing new.

Nothing is ever as simple as it at first seems.........I always believe.

Oil rich Nigeria is a growing economy, rife with corruption on every level, with rich getting richer and not a lot of wealth filtering down.

The opposition in this case happens to be religious nutters with a point. The wealth is in the western looking christian south, the continueing poverty in the formerly great north of the country.

Boko Haram is the local reaction to local injustices with international consequences.

I am not supporting or condoning them, just trying to understand the situation.

Actually yes rather a lot of it although you do have to go back bit in history - used to be quite commonplace.

Or maybe not how about ruanda, kosovo, the congo, central african republic, the sudan, those are off the top of my head but there are probably a lot more.

But then, the genocide went unheard for years....

It seems only when a Celeb speaks out does anyone actually take an Interest or care,

I'm all for the likes of Sir Bob, not to be confused with those Z listers who latch on to a cause to raise a flagging career. Sir Bob Is a wonderful Ambassador who reaches audiences that others can't reach. He, I believe genuinely cares, not In It for himself as so many are.
