Campaigning mother Doreen Lawrence is being tipped as Labour's candidate to fight the London mayoral elections.

I know the lady is now a life peer, an OBE and a long term campaigner, but Lard Mayor of London material?

My though was that it was a cynical ploy by the Labour party parachuting a possible winner into a prime job.

The joke being on the electorate, taunting us for our gullibility?
