So last night, I sat through the dramatisation of the Jodi Arias case.

Having watched similar cases Involving young Mormon men over the years, the similarities of the behaviour of these men, In this case Travis Alexander made me feel a tad of sympathy for Jodi.

As with other cases, this strict Mormon young man who preached the way of Mormon life to others and In case, no sex before marraige, uses a young girl, stringing her along for sex while having no Intention of marrying her because his Mormon faith does not allow him to marry a girl like Jodi.

She however, Is unaware of this until she's fallen In love with him and dreams of nothing more than marrying the love of her life.

After quite some time of using Jodi as a booty call, he meets a fellow Mormon within the church and finds her marrying material. Then he dumps Jodi. Yet later, while seeing the girl from the church, he hooks up with Jodi again for sex. She thinks he loves her after all.

After dumping her again, she stabs him, shoots him and slits his throat. The world talks of how evil she Is to murder this poor Mormon boy In cold blood.

If the dramatisation Is anywhere near true to life, the way he used her was nothing short of cruel. While he hypocritically continued to preach the Mormon teachings, he used her like a w.hore. She thought he loved her and would marry her.

Did a quick Google, Murder of Travis Alexander.

A most frustrating aspect of our criminal injustice system is the long wait for justice.

That woman should be gone and buried by now.
What happened to Kamala Harris' campaign?
She had the black vote all locked up.

Instead of thinking that & leaving the situation, she killed him. You're right, he's a typical prick, but that doesn't deserve the death sentence. She needed therapy & the confidence to move on.

Why the desire by middle America to string her up ?

What the poor little Mormon boy did to her was appalling. He continued to preach the gospel while calling on her like a whore. Even after he had dumped her for the nice Mormon marrying type, he went back to Jodi when the church girl wouldn't put out but continued seeing both. Her problem was that she was deluded. She even had Idea's about being baptised In the Mormon church and converting to marry him and he strung her along for years.

If this was some black gangster, you'd be saying he got what he deserved. But because he was a preacher, she's now the devil who deserves the death penalty.

I think In the UK we would have taken what he did to her far more Into account and seen It as a crime of passion.

I'm not saying he should have lost his life but generally In life, If you treat people like crap, It's got a funny way of biting you on the arsse.

Nope, he was a prick, and got what he deserved.

It is still against the law to kill, and she will have to face up to that.

Though a good lawyer could have got her a temporary insanity or something.

I wouldn't go as far as to say he got what he deserved, just that what he got should have been no surprise to anyone.

He dumped her several times, then called on her for sex again, over and over for years. He was stupid because at one point where he'd dumped her again, she started to show signs of cracking up. She slashed his tyres and left notes for the church girlfriend, broke Into his apartment while he slept etc etc. At that point he should have either run for the hills or started to be a damn sight kinder to her.

The actual murder was over-kill which shows an enormous amount of resentment and anger on her part but from the beginning of the film, you got the Impression, yes, she was a bit saucy, but basically a decent girl who just wanted to marry the man she loved.

That's the whole point about a jury made up of your peers. It's not just what you did but why you did it that gets weighed in the balance.
